  • Great condition for what they labeled an “acceptable” quality book

Awesome. Great quality for a used book, it was under $2 and better than accepted for such a steal.

  • Worked surprisingly well!

I highly recommend this book to anyone out there that is ready to quit. I am by no means a self-help fanatic... Mr. Carr just presented another way of thinking about my "habit" that helped me go from almost (I am ashamed to say) 2 packs a day to zero overnight without becoming a total psycho. Haven't even wanted one since a week before Memorial Day :-)

  • STOP WASTING MONEY ... BUY THE BOOK

I bought a copy of this book back in 2010 and I have not smoked since (I was an almost three-pack-a-day smoker). This easy-to-read book made so much sense from the very beginning, I never looked back. I am now over 13 years smoke free and I feel great. If you're serious about quitting, buy this book, read it, and MAKE LIFE BETTER!

  • Stop smoking

Best "Stop Smoking" advise I've ever heard. I've smoked for 45 years and tried to quit many many times. I laid them down and left them alone so easily!!! When you finish the book, I DARE you to smoke another.😉

It was hard to imagine that words could help quitting but it does. After reading this book, you'll have no excuses.

  • Worked so far

I smoked for 10 years from age 18 to 28, and then quit and became a runner. Then I started up again during a difficult time of my life at age 47. (I'm 50 now). I tried quitting, or cutting down rather, using the patch. That was a complete waste. I'd either smoke with the patch on or just rip it off if I wanted a cigarette, or just decide not to put one on at all that day, lol. I was really stuck in a rut, depressed about the fact that I'd started up this horrible "habit" again after quitting it for SO long, and didn't think I'd ever be free from cigarettes again.
Long story short--I listened to the Audible version of this book and it worked. I stopped smoking again and I have absolutely no withdrawal pangs or cravings.
Try it yourself! You have nothing to lose.

  • From Skeptic to Full Blown Believer

I started smoking when I was 12 and have been a loyal tobacco customer for over 30 years. I quit using willpower for a few years during my first marriage but eventually fell back into it.

Allen Carr's book was recommended by a coworker when we were discussing my wanting to quit, but not knowing how. I began reading Allen's book a few weeks ago with a heaping serving of skepticism. The more I read, the more I saw myself in the way that Allen describes smokers, much to my chagrin. Smokers rarely see themselves as such, and just that realization made all the difference to me.

The closer I got to the end of the book, the longer I would put it down because I knew that I was going to be out of excuses the moment I read the last page. I finally finished the book Tuesday, Oct 3, 2023. Being fresh out of excuses, I then convinced myself that I should wait for my fiancée to read the book so we could quit together. I waited for a day, but I then realized that I was putting the responsibility of quitting on her so that I could carry on smoking "guilt-free".

On Thursday, Oct 5, 2023, I ran out of cigarettes around lunchtime. Once I was able to talk myself out of the panic that all smokers feel when they run out, I decided to put Allen's method to the test until my fiancée returned from work. Surprisingly enough, the cravings did not impact me as they had in previous attempts to quit. I found myself amused that I didn't want to light up once she got home or after eating dinner.

Since that night, I have intentionally put myself into situations where I would previously HAVE to light up, and I am able to be around smokers without feeling left out or miserable. I can drink alcohol without one (something I never thought possible), and I can make it through a stressful situation without lighting up.

I've been cigarette- and nicotine-free since then. It hasn't been a pretty sight throughout (Friday morning was a little rough), but I've done something that I, and most smokers, can only dream of - I quit. I am free of nicotine, and I will never go back to it.

I cannot thank my coworker, just as I cannot thank Allen Carr, enough for this book. I have never experienced anything so life-altering as Easy Way To Stop Smoking. If you're a smoker, do yourself and your loved ones a favor - read it. I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but if I can do it, so can you.
