Easy reading, with a very enjoyable format. I was expecting it to be a lot more facts and structured lists/tasks. Each chapter covers a topic using stories as a launching point to consider how to apply it to your own parenting. Great read.
You do not need a book to tell you this information. Take a walk, go fishing, look at the birds....
While I appreciate the effort in the personal storyline this is not new information nor does it really give any ideas to make ordinary outings extra special. I was hoping for a bit more.
This was an easy read for me. It has inspired me to do more with my children outside and maybe start them younger than I had planned with some hunting.
Warning: you may suddenly find yourself buying all the camping gear. I cannot recommend this book enough, I grew up in the country and was outside as often as possible. This book has reminded me of how amazing my childhood was and to make sure I give that upbringing to my children as well.
As an ecologist/new father who grew up in the inner city, this book felt like it was written for me. Really thoughtful and transparent with a gradual list of incentives for getting our kids engaged with nature. The stories told are all done so with purpose, and really stretch our perception of what childhood experiences could entail.
Always been a big fan of Rinella and his story telling ability. I pre ordered this and it showed up before expected. The world isnât what is was with the technology that children have access to.
Steve is awesome, great book and good info.
Heard about this book on the Meateater podcast so I ordered it. Very easy to read with tons of great ideas for things to do in the outdoors with your kiddos. Def Recommend for parents to buy.
Got this book for my husband and he loved it. A great resource for ways to include our kids in our passion for the outdoors. Highly recommend.
Big Steve Rinella fan, love this book. Highly recommend to families who are trying to incorporate the outdoors into their childrenâs (and their own) lives. Also a good read for those who are already getting their kids outside and interacting with nature.

The rabbitgoo Dog Harness is a popular choice among dog owners. It is strong, sturdy, and easy to use. The harness helps control pulling and choking, making walks more enjoyable. The adjustable straps ensure a perfect fit, and the durable fabric makes it long-lasting. While some users had issues with sizing and the D ring, overall, the harness is of good quality. It is suitable for various dog sizes and breeds, providing comfort and security.
