  • We moved our cheese

I like this book because it makes people to reflect about changes occurring in their personal or professional lives and how it can be accepted and changed to better.
I gave five stars because I can relate to it.
We were health professionals in Brazil and we decided to move to America. I was skeptical of this change but my wife was very excited and happy. I had hard times to accept it I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel or the handwriting on the wall. After years leaving in America we went back to school to get our licenses. We opened our own practice and our life improved since then.
In our story I was Hem and she was Haw.
I am glad we move our cheese.

  • It's NOT the actual paperback book . . .

This is a package of loose papers, so you can place it in a two ring binder of sorts? It's NOT bound.

Other than the above, love this book, got this for my son to read who is 23 years old. I tried to explain the premise to him, and though, oh what the heck, I'll buy it for him.

Thin, not much content, would make a good bathroom book, not the most interesting read, I kicked it back. Does not need to be a "best seller". ha ha

  • Great book and great read!

Change is inevitable and we have to change with the time, like Darwinism. Move with the cheese. Embrace it and love change.

  • So many profound lessons in such a simple story

This book came highly recommended to me and I don't regret reading it one bit.

It's a pretty simple allegory about two mice and two little people inside a maze and the pursuit of cheese. It exemplifies the fear and frustration we go through as things in our life change. You identify with the least one of these characters, but more than likely he'll identify with all.

Change is a powerful force that we can't control, but the story helps us explore ways to better adapt.

  • Great quick read

Even for those that don't like to read this is quick under an hour. Hold on to it and read it again when you're starting to feel frustrated, stuck and start putting blame on everyone else ;-)

  • Hot garbage: 55% of the book is spent telling you why it's a good book.

Fully 55% of this book is spent exuding the virtues of reading "the story" (the middle 45% about mice) and applying that to your life.

The text is advocating that people adapt to changes. It doesn't advocate a single idea about HOW to do so.

Who Moved My Cheese also makes no attempt to communicate that neuroticism-level is linked to change-adversity. Learning about this can help people learn coping skills to better address changes in work & life.

Unfortunately, there's no evidence the author knows about psychology.

With all that said, the basic premise that you should adapt to change (in your company's market, in the workplace, in life, etc.) or be left behind is a good one. That's the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1.

This could've been a short comic.

  • Watching for the cheese

I liked this story because it was an easy read and it was easy to imagine myself and others as the four main characters.

I could see myself in the story and had to laugh at myself. A must read for everyone!

  • Excellent book

This is a great book for anyone looking to make a change in their life. Whether it's personal, business or changes beyond your control. It has helped me a great deal in adapting to change. And most of all, finding new cheese.
