  • Service makes THE difference, especially for a frequent business traveler

    Doubletree Sittard is one of the best places I have stayed for business in Europe. The service is excellent, the rooms are clean and the location is ideal. Arndt seamlessly has his eye on everything and takes care with grace and discretion. Accordingly, Joany, Suze, Iris, and the man on the evening shift are always on point with a smile. Ramona excels as the hotel manager. Her touches of elegance and kindness are felt from the moment one enters the hotel, in the lobby's configuration; small groupings for people to sit and have quiet conversations, or just relax after a long journey. Her management, along with Arndt's support make THE difference in how employees behave and how guests feel welcome.

  • Service does not live up to the brand

    The Double tree is a nice enough hotel but service is less than acceptable. The bar staff go missing continuously for some unknown reason. For a premium price you are getting mediocre service. If you are in search of pampering then maybe this is not for you.

  • Pleasantly surprised for many reason

    We could not asked for more. The hotel seems brand new and completely renovated. Do not expect an ‘executive lounge’ and you will not be disappointed. Some reviewers are not fair. The staff was friendly and the price point for a Double Tree is the reason we chose this property. The rooms were large and for any standard let alone European ones. I would not hesitate to book again. The food at the restaurant was also very good. All in all a great stay and with no complaints whatsoever. The one area that may need some addressing is check in and with a new hotel some kinks to work out. But really we can only share compliments for this review.

  • Good and comfortable

    Really liked the design, more like a boutique-hotel instead of a regular Doubletree. Thank you for the upgrade because of the HHonors status. The room was spotless clean and spacious. Breakfast offering seemed a bit limited however above average and above expected for Doubletree. Comfortable stay and would recommend.

    Pity that the circumstances and facilities don't keep pace with the monumental status of the building. Smells, cleanliness, amenities, accuracy, communication, breakfast all qualify for critical review and improvement.

  • Comfortable hotel with friendly staff in downtown sittard

    We were visiting from the US to see my family. We were warmly welcomed and all my diamond benefits were honored (upgrades, breakfast) without asking. The staff was friendly and proactive throughout the stay. Location is in downtown Sittard so can’t be beat. Breakfast was extensive with hot items, freshly baked breads and staff making espresso based drinks for you. Will definitely stay again during our next family visit

  • special location in old school building

    This is a very special location to stay for a few days in the southern part of The Netherlands. Friendly and efficient staff. Quick check in. The breakfast is absolutely gorgeous and well above the standard doubletree level. Rooms are nice with very good beds (new hotel) . At several places they were able to recognise and honor the history of the building. Arndt gave us a tour in and around the hotel which was outstanding and created the extra personal touch.

  • Great new property - some minor issues left

    This is a new property. Our stay here, as a Hilton Diamond member, for two nights, was good, but with some minor issues. Upon arrival, no one answered the intercom at the entrance to their parking area. Did see staff standing out the backdoor smoking though. Finally drove around to front of hotel and walked in. Spoke to one of the folks we saw outside, and smelled smoke on him. I would have accepted that as ok 10 years ago, but AFAIK, smoking on or near a workplace is unacceptable in this day and age, especially in hospitality. Got upgraded the day before arrival, which is great in terms of HH recognition. I'm not a fan of what they call their "deluxe suite", as that room is not an actual suite, but just a slightly larger room with very high ceiling and a large open…

  • Very nice hotel

    A new hotel in Sittard, easy to reach, enough parking. Very airy rooms, spacious and very comfortable beds. Helpfull and friendly staff. Great to see a Hilton affiliated brand in Sittard. I will make use of it again. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

  • Terrific hotel !

    Great stay….clean hotel ….very good food…..very nice people …great follow up ….sorry I dont have time to write a three pages review but stay over 150 nights a year in a hotel and think they do a OUTSTANDING job ! Great parking too !
