We had a good Saturday lunch at Tri Valley Bistro. They have patio seating. Its nice as Main Street is closed off to traffic Service was good.
We enjoyed beers. I had a pastrami sandwich with sweet potato fries, My husband enjoyed his salads.
They...also serve very good complementary rolls. Very good!

We ate lunch outside in downtown Pleasanton at this adorable location. Everyone in our party had a great meal. The sweet potato fries were especially tasty. Good service.
Ate lunch here recently and had a very pleasant meal. I had a salad entree of grilled vegetables and farro, which was wonderfully fresh and delicately flavored. From the menu one could select several vegetarian dishes as well as sea food, chicken and meat dishes....My friends had chicken and beef and thought as highly of their selections as I did my vegetarian one. I learned while there that this restaurant specializes in using organic, local farm sourced ingredients. I can vouch for the quality as a new fan of Tri Valley Bistro.More My friends had chicken and beef and thought as highly of their selections as I did my vegetarian one. Delightful downtown restaurant and delicious 😋! I was visiting with a local and she highly recommended Tri Valley Bistro and I could see why. I had the Salmon Sandwich 🥪 which was huge. My sandwich came with greens which was almost a meal unto itself....My two friends had salads which looked tasty too. One not so great point is that parking can be a bit of an issue. Just plan ahead when you make reservations.More My two friends had salads which looked tasty too. One not so great point is that parking can be a bit of an issue. There were 3 couples, we all ordered something different.
There was a Chicken dish, Ravioli, Steak, Lamb, Risotto and Sea Bass, everyone agreed that the vegetables were over cooked, chicken was ok, Ravioli was good, Lamb was just ok, Risotto was just ok, Steak was...over cooked and the Sea Bass was not Sea Bass but Tilapia and the server argued that it was Mediterranean Sea Bass. I have had Bass many time and never had it that thin just like Tilapia.
We will not ever return.

Cute little place in Historic Downtown Pleasanton California. Stopped based on Social media reviews. We found the menu somewhat limited and our steak was mediocre at best. Extremely Fatty. I ate a third and finished. Their chocolate mousse is amazing, a highlight of the visit....I included pics because presentation was nice but product was not( steak )
Staff was pleasant and attentive.
I would recommend trying this place but look up Menu and stay away from steak.More I included pics because presentation was nice but product was not( steak )

Another visit and another mixed review. Service was good and attentive. The owner served us and shes very nice and good and fun and very cute. Had beer and wine. Sat outside on street. Portabella mushroom appetizer was excellent. Both had jambalaya and it was...plated just ok but the muscles and clams were served cold and dry and were not good. Same as last time. They don't seem to know better. The rice was good and was hot. Service was attentive throughout. Deserts were good. I had decaf coffee which was very good but obviously had a lot of caffeine as i was never able to sleep so hence another review for these guys. Don't be deceived by the outside that doesn't look that nice/fancy. The dinner we had was amazing and I can't wait to go back!
Had been a while since I’d eaten here. No real reason. Don’t plan on allowing that to happen again. Everything was perfection. After I ordered the skirt steak ( before it was served) I began to doubt myself. I usually think of skirt steak as...a thin, usually overlooked cut. I had obviously forgotten where I was. Cooked exactly as I asked, seasoned perfectly. Love this place.More a thin, usually overlooked cut. I had obviously forgotten where I was. Cooked exactly as I asked, seasoned perfectly. Excellent service. Spot on knowing your customers. A pleasant place off the main street. Okay, now the food. I had the english muffin with poached egg with canadian beacon with fresh fruit. The whole dish, albeit simple, was done right and beacon tasty for some...reason. My friends had shared the prawns with fettucine cooked the way i liked it. They are foodies too and said good things about it. Prices were adjusted to reflect quality, meaning $$. As always

Small restaurant tucked in Pleasanton, California on Main Street. As expected, the tables were almost all taken. Still room for two either inside or out on the sidewalk. We chose inside. Fernando, our server, gave excellent service. Both our us opted for the Eggs Benedict...with Portabella Mushroom and the bottomless Mimosas. Delicious. Great pick for either two or four people who want to visit this quaint (still) downtown.More with Portabella Mushroom and the bottomless Mimosas. Delicious. We were in Pleasanton on a business trip and loved the charming downtown area. We walked by and the menu looked creative and fun. We sat at the bar, service was good. We ordered crab cakes- which were void of any actual crab, fried to...an unrecognizable patty and served with sliced tomatoes that reminded me of a 50’s diner. We had to send these back they were so bad.... the open kitchen overlooking the bar made for some scary evil eyes from the line. We also had the calamari which was sliced too thick to enjoy as it was like seafood bubblegum... over cooked/ chewy and inedible. Our final effort was the fried goat cheese with figs... seemingly hard to mess up. The cheese was fried well, balsamic a nice addition. If you cut up all the pieces and ate it together it wasn’t terrible. The atmosphere was quaint and channeling but I would never eat here again or recommend it to anyone based on execution of the Menu. Unfortunate. We wanted it to be so much better but with so much competition immediately surrounding block there are too many other options for a 2nd try.More an unrecognizable patty and served with sliced tomatoes that reminded me of a 50’s diner. We lunched here today, and it was wonderful. We will definitely return.
Service was great, wonderful waitress, so patient she just made the three of us feel so welcomed.
We sat outside, great for people watching, but just a happy place.
It is a little...pricey, but it's Pleasanton. and on Main St.
Being there on a Saturday, with the Farmer's Market, all the elite jay walking, the rudest drivers, we managed to get a space, but I would recommend, using public parking. The nice part of that is you are finished, with no worry.More pricey, but it's Pleasanton. and on Main St.

Five of us had dinner there. We ordered various items. Some came out not so hot. One of the owner/manager was present and she immediately took care of it.
Good place for good service and great American cuisine.
I've only been there a couple times but let me tell you what, the food is sooooo good! I'm back and I'm telling everybody about it this is the place. So the first time I went there had to salmon and it was a huge portion and wonderfully cooked, very tasty and super fresh, and Saturday I had lamb and it was outrageous... little lollipops were delicious. We ordered the prawns wrapped with Gorgonzola cheese appetizer which was killer and then we got calamari which was out-of-this-world. The owner was personally there and she was friendly and efficient!
Five of us dined there. Different entrees and all were great.
Highly recommended.
