  • I've ordered this product many times, but this one is really stale

    I've loved this baklava in the past and didn't want to wait for the holiday. So, I wanted to give myself a treat. Unfortunately my first bite was stale, so I took a bite out of another of the pieces and it was pretty bad. It was packed in March and perhaps hot weather is part of the reason. It's ineligible for a return. I will note that my previous orders were delicious. Edit to add only the pieces on the edges of the tin were bad. Added a star because center pieces were good.

    I was pleasantly surprised on how good these are. They were soft and some seem to melt in your mouth. Not too sweet... meaning they are sweet but they aren't staight crunchy sugar. The little ones are my favorite! Wish they sold a bunch of those.

    These are great but much smaller than I expected. I have bought other brands for the same price that are 2 times this size.

  • Moist & not over sweet

    These are packaged very well, so the baklava is fresh tasting & moist rather than dried out. Sometimes baklava can be overly sticky & sweet, but these are just right. They are very nutty. The pastry is flaky. There are several choices, from small straw like confections to chunkier nut filled bites. There are different types of nuts also. Living in a place where it's difficult to buy baklava, this is a great option.
