  • Hotel Neal Leerdam

    Pretty quiet hotel in a very small town near Leerdam. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is somewhat deceiving. A big advantage is the free access to the adjacent gym. A very well equipped gym by the way.

  • superb hotel in every way

    I stay here and have done almost monthly for 7 years. it is amazing. the food is great, the staff are amazing and the facilities are spot on. inhave never had a bad meal or a bad nights sleep, I have never seen dirt or had any reason to find a complaint at all.

  • Good hotel, Good food

    Stayed at The Schildkamp 3 times over the space of 2 month’s and have to stay it’s a good place to go. Spacious rooms, a bit outdated but will all the amenities you need and food in the restaurant is good quality. Staff is friendly and there’s a gym and pool as well.

    Very friendly people, nice hotel, big rooms and a lot of facilities! Perfect stay for nice biking tours in a wonderful landscape! The hospiality was great! The terrace could be more quiet... The breakfast was perfect with a lot of choises, but the diner plates could be better...!

    Room VERY small, single small bed, with pending ceiling. like 2 starts hotel, no more. very bad to pay 91 euro for that. Menu at restaurant with no prices. This is not a Welcome although staff is ok. i wont go there again

  • Lovely location and comfortable Hotel in beautiful village near Leerdam

    Large premises with ample parking and very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms and beds and excellent breakfast. Dinner options rather limited though and inflexible over times and menus. Otherwise lovely location very convenient for Lingewaal.

  • Decent place

    The staff were helpful and friendly. Room was okay but the bed was kinda soft and lumpy. Shower and wifi were awesome though. Right next to a fitness centre with decent facilities too and is also situated on a cycle path which makes for a good trail for a morning run or walk. Don't think this is a holiday destination place or hotel at all but if you need to be in nearby Leerdam it's a good place to stay.

  • nice hotel

    nice and friendly hotel, good rooms, clean and very friendly staff. You can place your bike in a shed, which is save for the night. Wonderfull area for cyclists and a good place to come "home"to. It is only a 7 minutes bike-tour to leerdam, where are restaurants and supermarkets and some other shops.

  • Practical yes, romantic getaway no

    A good hotel for cyclists doing the lovely Linge route: good amenities for bikes, clean rooms, rather high prices. The dining room is intimidatingly un-cozy: terrificly practical but guests are silenced by the lack of atmosphere, we couldn't get away fast enough to find some cheer. Excellent free WiFi. A lot of business facilities...A sensible choice.

  • Good for a rest

    A nice, clean hotel with pleasant staff. Nice for elderly people or if you want to stay somewhere very peaceful. Nice places nearby and with good weather a lake across the road. Good for cycling or relaxing.
