  • Koffee

    I just stopped here for a koffee in between my solo visit to Edam. A wonderful setting to sit and take in the local color. Very happy. Upon entering inside I realized this was a first class restaurant as well would like to have more time.

  • Excellent lunch

    We stopped on our motorbikes for lunch, as I've been doing for many years, on the way through the Netherlands. Service rather slow, ignored us a while, but eventually we got the food and very good it is. Price good. Wedding going on in the square provided amusement.

  • Nice

    Nice - comfortable / cosy I really recommend more for couple and friends than business. Well located in the city center - charming - nice food but like most of Dutch restaurant service is super long. So patience and philosophy to make a successful dinner

  • stayed for two nights for a friends wedding

    lovely hotel great staff couldn't do enough for you ,nice restaurant,ideal situation in town center, nice and quite at night. only downside was no tea or coffee equipment in room.the continental breakfast was lovely,my wife though loves to make her self a tea in the room. as we where leaving early after are second night and would miss our breakfast the staff made us up a breakfast picnic to take with us,well happy.

  • Restaurant for dinner

    We had an excellent meal and one of the memorable for a long time. Marinated tuna starter had great flavour. Tenderloin steak was perfect. And good value 2009 Chasse Spleen Bordeaux. Lemon tart with lemon ice was refreshing to finish a fantastic meal. Restaurant staff were great too.

  • Review of the restaurant

    We had lunch here and it was fantastic. Great service and great food but most importantly a drop dead gorgeous interior. Fabulous paintings and ambiance. Highly recommend a day trip to this town and stop in here for lunch.

    The atmosphere is nice. Looking at the "nachtwacht" painting of Rembrandt you can Order the club sandwich it is the best of the world. We enjoyed the food and the place so we can recommend it for after a walk thru the beautiful old city of Edam. Enjoy

  • Fantastic

    I only stopped here for one night, arriving late - but the hotel is really nice. A great bar area and restaurant....rooms are small but have character and are classy decorated. We ate in the restaurant. Prices are reasonable and food was beautiful.

  • Seriously sexy...

    unfiortunately it was a business trip... Hotel is great, deco, bar, food, location right in the middle of town. absolutely gorgeous. no price info as I was invited. but would definitely come back for a week end of exploring 40min away from Amsterdam. recommend

  • I loved this hotel

    I was prepared for the quirky decor - and it was just fine. Clearly someone really enjoyed doing the interior design. The rooms vary - ours was large and the wifi was perfect. Beautifully updated bathroom. Lots of big high quality towels. Food very nice. I had a warm goat cheese sandwich on dark bread that was wonderful. The owners take a lot of pride in their hotel. They accommodated our bicycles inside the hotel during the night. Most of the breakfast was good, except the only breakfast cereal they offered was Kellogs in a box - not my favorite- but there was plenty of other food..
