This family run hotel is highly recommended, the staff are very friendly and efficient, the food is excellent, the rooms are clean and tidy and the access to the (stony) beach is close by. Gouvia Beach is quiet and picturesque, Sun loungers can be hired daily.
We stayed here for 12 days and the room was serviced every day. The breakfast was also a treat with plenty of variety fresh juices fruit and fluffy cheese and honey crossants sausages bacon mushrooms baked beans hard boiled eggs thick toast and marmalade it goes on. They also have their own restaurant and bar where the staff were so attentive and helpful. The beach is straight across a not busy laneway albeit a pebble beach and boat/JetSki hire right on your doorstep. I highly recommend Iliad’s Beach Hotel run by a family and would stay there again no worries
The Iliada hotel is in prime position just across from the beach in gouvia, food in the hotel restaurant was very good and had prime location next to the beach, rooms were cleaned every day and the breakfasts were fantastic. We will definitely be returning next year as we both thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
Great hotel with great staff. Been many times now, rooms are beautiful and very comfortable and cleaned everyday. You get a kettle, coffee, sugar and milk. There is also hairdryer in the room. The gardens are very pretty and well kept and it’s in a beautiful setting with great views of the bay. Staff are so friendly and so helpful and can’t do enough for you. A real family hotel. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely beachside hotel in Gouvia. Friendly staff, quiet surroundings and great base for exploring other parts of the island. Great basic breakfast for starting your day, you can hire sun beds on the beach for 10 euro (for 2). No complaints.
The hotel was lovely, Staff very friendly and helpful! The hotel and its areas were very clean and tidy, there was hand sanitizer available! Thereception staff helped to organise outings. The only downside was the lack of vegi options on half board set menu. We needed to weigh the suitcase, they had weighing scales. There was a curtesy shower room, should you have a late flight and want to go to the beach after check out! Beach is literally on the doorstep however it is a pebbly beach which can't be helped
Although we have been to other Greek islands - we were visiting Corfu for the first time - so were open minded as to what to expect. The Iliada is in a great location - actually on the beach front in Gouvia - but only a couple of minutes walk from shops and bus stops. Public transport is very reasonable and will get you into Corfu town in 20 minutes or to the amazing beaches - and other interesting places - elsewhere on the island. We were made welcome from the start. Staff at the Iliada were all lovely - friendly, polite, helpful and professional in their dealings with us and were looked after excellently throughout the 3 weeks of our stay. The alfresco dining arrangements were perfect with stunning views out across Gouvia Bay. The restaurant food was delicious - and service both there and in the bar was impressive (staff speaking fluently in at least 6 languages). Our room was ideal for us. It was quiet and comfortable with modern shower room. From our balcony we had views across the well kept gardens and out to Ipapantis Church on the other side of the bay. We loved every minute of our stay and were genuinely sad when it was finally time to leave!…
Great hotel next to a beach in Gouvia town. Excellent value for money. We were on a charter holiday and stayed at the hotel before and after our holiday in the Ionian. Situated near the Marina and next to local great value restaurants.
We ate lunch in the restaurant only at the front and were not guests who stayed within the hotel. The prices were very reasonable and generous portions of food and it was very tasty. The staff catered for our needs and we were impressed by the visit. The feta filo pastry for a starter is a must. The house wine carafe was great tasting too for a house wine.
The hotel was clean and surrounded by beautiful flowers. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was rather modest. The location was super, shops and restaurants, pubs within walking distance. Bus stop to go to town was close. The hotel restaurant was very nice, clean, modern and the food was delicious.
Spend a few pleasant days at this hotel . Nice rooms ,if a bit small bathrooms, and small veranda. Good breakfast and excellent service, especially by the ladies at the reception. well priced with a good location, meters away from a nice beach with sunbeds & umbrellas (payable). Restaurant with the usual menu, (did not try it). All together a good experiance.
I had a great time at the Iliada Beach Hotel. It’s truly charming. Run by a family so well that it also feels like family. It’s close to the beach, the prices are fair. The rooms are well cleaned. Good food and nice cocktails. I wish the family and staf well and I am sure I will see them again.
Great position in Gouvia...Just front of the beach. The staff is very friendly. Rooms look renovated and always very clean. Hope to come back and stay again in the future. The view in the morning was wonderful at the sunshine.
Our stay was just perfect. The cozy room with nice design was tidied up every day. The hotel itself is very beautiful, there are many flowers and trees everywhere. The sea is very close, and the beach is quite secluded, so it is very calm and pleasant to relax there. we really liked the sea, the water was very warm and calm. This place has no disadvantages. But the most important advantage, which cannot be ignored, is people. Always very attentive, friendly, all our rest tried to make us enjoyable, special thanks to our friend the barman Eric! His cocktails are amazing, as are the dishes prepared in the kitchen. We will definitely come back here, to this hotel! And we strongly recommend everyone to visit the Iliada Beach Hotel.
I was at Iliada Beach Hotel with my husband in July 2021. It's a beautiful hotel on the beach. The rooms are big and the bed is very comfortable. Every room has a big balcony from where you can look in the beautiful garden. Staff was very friendly and helped us with every question we had. The hotel also has a very nice restaurant with sea view. Breakfast was Ok, with coffee, juice, eggs, cheese, cereal and ham. Overall it was a very nice stay. The beach next to the hotel is a peble beach, but the water is great and also we loved that it's not crowded.
Wonderful hotel! Everyone was so friendly and really made us feel at home. The room was great - nicely decorated, nice balcony, the bathroom was beautiful, the beds and the pillows were comfortable. The location is right on the beach and it is a superb restaurant. I can really recommend this hotel!
Excellent location and relaxed atmosphere, with good bar and restaurant on site. Lovely garden planting throughout. Right opposite the pebble beach, with good views, and also close to the road with most of the restaurants. Close to Corfu town. Easy (public) parking beside hotel. The fridge in the room was very handy ( though was rather noisy and the seal wasn't good). The room was a good size, and had a nice balcony overlooking a pleasant back garden and getting the sun in the late afternoon. Comfortable bed, nice modern bathroom, and efficient air conditioning. Wifi good when it was working but it sometimes faded away for long periods . Staff were friendly. The breakfast area was very nice outside, though the breakfast itself fairly basic, though generous. One…
We enjoyed a week at the Iliada Beach. Had a superior room which was comfortable and modern. Breakfast was basic and plentiful. Covid rules were followed. The bar area outside was spacious. We only ate once in the hotel but might have done more often but there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Hotel was quiet and near the pebble beach. We paid €3 for sunbeds and swam in the sea a few times. The bus service was quite good and very cheap. We went to Corfu Town, Palaiokastritsa and Kassiopi - fares less than €3 pp. Staff friendly and helpful especially Nicoletta who was generous at breakfast.
Lovely place just 20 minutes transfer from the airport. Lovely and clean with great consideration given to care around Covid. Room was lovely-we upgraded to a premier room. Real traditional place and totally unspoilt. Food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and not expensive at all. Everyone is so courteous and super friendly, making you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Colette and a young girl (sorry, I did not ask her name) served us all week, working long hours without faltering. The beach is a stoney one. We hired a car and travelled around. Sidari is 40 minutes drive and Glyfada just 20 mins. Both have beautiful sandy beaches. We will definitely return.
I went to Gouvia for a five day competent crew yachting course. I had the pleasure of booking in for a few days either side of my course. The Iliada is a very welcoming family run business. I ate most nights in the restaurant and was impressed with the quality of food. Thanks to Andy, Eric, Maria, Elena, Nicoletta, Amelia, Aurora. I will be back.Best regards Tony. Ena gia to dromo !!
I’ve been there for almost 2 weeks with my wife The place is nice and in a good location but what really makes the difference is the staff. All of them are very welcoming, smiley and gentle, to a point that you forget you are a guest, a couple of days and you start feeling more like a friend!! Amelia in particular made as feel home from the very moment. Thank you guys Hope to see you again
Just returned from a week's stay. The hotel and restaurant are wonderful. The family and staff we're all helpful, friendly and made us feel at home and very safe with their fastidious covid secure regime. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was filling and tasty. The restaurant meals were high standard. Even the chef prepared a traditional Greek meal for us that wasn't on the menu. The hotel very clean and inviting. Good location. Beach small but not crowded. Buses we're only a short walk away. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Andy, Eric, Nicoletta and Amalia to name a few. See you soon, Denise and Ian.
The staff and especially Erik, Nicoletta and Andy have made us feel very welcome. Despite the current circumstances they were able to offer service of high quality. The hotel is clean, looks great and the bar and restaurant offer very good food. The location is good and if you have a rental car you can go anywhere on the island in short time due to the central location in the middle of the island. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant!
We had a lovely stay at Iliada beach. The hotel is runned by a warm family that let you feel right at home. Gouvia is located somewhere in the middle of Corfu en we would advise to rent a car so that you make some nice trips to other locations. To then return at Iliada beach for a very nice dinner and a ice cold beer.
Iliada Beach Hotel is a great place to stay! I loved every minute of it!! The moment I entered the beautiful garden, an oasis of peace surrounded me. I traveled alone, but felt at home right away. You got all that you require if you want to, because a nice cafe/restaurant with beach view is attached to the hotel, and the beach itself is on the other side of a quiet, unpaved deadend road. The room is spacious, clean, has a nice bathroom and a good atmosphere. Oh and very important as well: the people working here are very service-oriented and friendly. Even to the point that when I returned for a drink, after I had left for a week, I was received back with open arms! So I highly recommend this hotel!!!
Just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel, first time visit. Very clean, staff very helpful , beds comfortable, two floor accomodation - no lift. The position great and is right on the pebble beach, near to lots of places to eat, although their own beach side restaurant is superb. If there was a downside there is no pool. The hotel is very close to the village and shops, bus stop on the main road not far away. The area around is quite flat and the walk around the marina is great, couple of toilets everything very clean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We went to this hotel based upon Tripadvisor reviews and were not dissapointed
We have been to lots of islands, resorts and hotels over the last 25 years, which have all been good, but this place is by far the best we have ever stayed. The hotel is right next to the pebble beach which is partly shaded by large conifers which we sat under so we were not constantly having to move the sun beds to keep in the umbrella shade. There is lots of free parking right next to the hotel. The view across the bay is stunning with the mountain behind and Albania to the right. The sea here is very calm and gradually slopes making it easy to get into using swim shoes. There is a shop and plenty of restaurants close by although the hotel restaurant serves excellent food and the staff are very friendly (especially Eric behind the bar). The hotel is very well maintained and…
We had the pleasure of staying here for 7 nights in September 2019 and it was a delight. We stayed in a standard room overlooking the garden which is really peaceful, the bathroom is kept shining clean by the excellent cleaners and has a superb shower as is the rest of the room. Maria and her team are amazing and run this hotel brilliantly, nothing is too much trouble and Maria's local knowledge is extremely useful. we got the feeling we were genuinely welcome. There is a superb restaurant and bar attached to the hotel, again, the staff are friendly approachable and welcoming, they even bring food and drink menu's on to the beach then bring ordered goodies to you. It's been many years since we were so sad to leave a resort but we just did not want leave and will be returning in…
This is the third time we have stayed at the Iliada and another wonderful and relaxing holiday. Andy, Eric and their family have always made us feel so welcome and go out of their way to make sure that everyone has an excellent holiday. They all work so hard and always have a smile on their face no matter what. Thank you all again and we will see you very soon I’m sure.
Just got back from the Iliada beach hotel ,another great holiday there. Staff owners everyone are great. The position on the bay is fantastic, the food the best, and always a warm and friendly atmosphere, cannot fault it in anyway. We have been going for many years now and will continue, the village is great with everything you need and plenty of choice for eating out ,so if you want a great holiday with friendly staff, great food and in a beautiful setting choose the Iliada beach you will not be disappointed

Yayla Bistro offers a delicious and authentic Turkish cuisine with an elegant atmosphere and friendly service. The menu is wide-ranging and well-presented, featuring dishes such as grilled calamari, mezzanine plate, lamb chops, and Adana. The restaurant also provides delivery and take-out services. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable, making recommendations for first-timers. With its serene decor and soft instrumental music, Yayla Bistro is the perfect spot for lunch or black-tie dining. Parking can be tight, but the restaurant is worth the visit. Highly recommended.
