Stay at the 1815 Hotel for a convenient location near the Waterloo battlefield and museums. The rooms are small but comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Enjoy the on-site restaurant and explore the historic sites in the area.

Hotel is situated on the battlefield and your view is dominated by the Lion Mound. Plenty of parking, and a warm greeting. We were given the "Ney" room which was clean and tidy with all the amenities we needed. Breakfast was excellent. Short walk to museum and a little further to Hougoumont Altogether a good stay.
It is a very poor hotel, used only for emergency. Very old and bad maintained. Breakfast very limited, room not clean with bath sheets uncleaned. Difficult to reach unless you have the car and not alternative to eat in a restaurant. Very NOT recommended.
You can SEE the Lion Mount from the hotel. You can walk there in 20 mins or so. There isn't any other hotel nearly so close. So 'location' is a win. Rooms are just okay. Breakfast is a little better than okay. Dinner is nice but pricey. Interesting restaurant next door I'd recommend. If you want "close," this is it. Fairly good, not too expensive, given the lack of competition.
Close to Brussels and highways. Older hotel deemed a historic site. Great restaurant next door. Restaurant in the hotel had a limited ( for our tastes) menu. Rooms are small. Mini ridge didn't work in our room. If it's warm it will stay that way as it's not air conditioned.
Checking-in at this hotel Marco was very friendly and helpful. It has a great location and my room overlooked the Waterloo battlefield. The restaurant below the hotel was also very good. No A/C here, but it wasn't as issue as my room had a fan.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the 1815 hotel. Lovely restaurant/bar attached and very tastefully decorated throughout. The perfect place to stay if you intend to visit the Waterloo battlefield as it is right outside the front door!
All the rooms are named after a General involved in the Battle and it is within metres of the monument. Comfortable beds with most of what was needed. No kettle in the room, people seemed very nice and restaurant was full.
Excellent location, restaurant lovely and food good. Staff very helpful, going the extra mile to print flight boarding passes. Would have liked to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but staff did offer to make one if we wanted.
The hotel is located next to the Waterloo battlefield. With a view to the "Lion´s mound". The food was expensive and the rooms were fine. But unfortunately the carpenter had forgotten to tighten down a screw in the floor of the room, so my foot was torn open. The owner was very sorry and gave me a free stay, -and fixed the screw at once. So no complaints from me.
This hotel is in THE perfect location to explore the battlefield. Reception was very warm and welcoming and the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is continental and good value. Would definitely visit again.

This hotel in a small and beautiful town offers spacious rooms, good internet connection, and friendly staff. However, some guests found the parking lot unorganized and the lack of air conditioning on hot days was a disappointment. The hotel is conveniently located near Kinderdijk windmills and Rotterdam, but it is in need of renovation. Despite the hotel's outdated furnishings, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is accommodating and helpful, especially in catering to special dietary needs. Overall, it provides a decent stay for short visits and business trips.
