  • OMG!! This is the best construction management book I've ever read! Worth every penny. Really loved the author's style of delivering the message into the readers. You'll never get bored of it. It's such a great adventure.

  • Very in depth, but you still need to get out there

    I purchased the book for my son who is looking to get into the commercial construction industry, and I'm going off of what he told me. If you are looking to learn pretty much everything there is about the construction industry, from the types of projects, to project procurement, different delivery methods, estimation and pricing, and so on and so forth, this book provides a very in - depth analysis of every possible area of the field you could think of. It's very well written and covers every possible sector of the industry in immense detail.

    With that being said, I would have loved to see a few more real - world examples in the book. The review questions are nice for reinforcing the knowledge, and there are a few asides where the author talks about some real - world instances, but ultimately, you will need to get onto a construction job site to truly make the most out of this knowledge. This book is great for anyone in the engineering field who may be considering a career in construction, but you definitely will need to get some experience to make the most of what you learn in the book. I encourage reading it without skipping a single page, as every word in this text is useful regarding all things construction.

  • Do not buy this book If you have the second edition.

    This is an excellent book if you haven't gotten any of the prior editions, but do not waste your time and money if you already have the second edition. The third edition is basically a copy and paste from the last one plus other information.
