  • Skip kindle and go for hardcopy.

    The kindle editing seems off to me and it messes with the keywords required to login to the extras that the author has graciously added to her website. That aside, if you do buy this, do not skip her introduction. It is soo wonderfully heartwarming and it really captures the essence of why us moms want to figure out photography.

  • Amazing Generosity...

    The most amazing part of this book (as well as the first one about photographing your baby) is that MeRa is so completely generous with her knowledge and her enthusiasm! No secrets here -- it is all out there for you to pick up and enjoy. She has been an inspiration to me for the last 2 years and I have become so much more confident about telling my personal stories through pictures. Whenever I wonder about some of the technical aspects of photography I pick up her book and there is the answer -- right in the light as it glows behind a dancing little princess or as a glimmer in a child's eye. In this digital age we can afford to experiment and take a zillion photos if that is what we need -- MeRa would smile, laugh and give you a big hug! Her generous and loving spirit jumps right out of her books and will always be a guiding light for me.

    WONDERFULLY WRITTEN:::I can understand what the Author MeRa Koh is saying in her own words. Her photograpy is right on top, she explains angles, lightening & colors and so much more.
    Terrific baby gift or even grandmothers..
    Would love to have her take a family portraits ....

  • Perfect Guide- Even for Beginers!!

    This book is perfect- even for beginners such as myself! I took a copy with me to the waiting area of my daughters preschool as we went through the "separation" phase & over the course of a week I could not put it down! I was so inspired that I have now finally (after only 5 yrs!) decided to learn how to take my camera out & really start to understand it! There are so many inspiring exercises in this book that I have came up with my own holiday project I am shooting around my 2 little ones to give as holiday gifts to family!
    I would recommend this book to any new mom, experienced mom, mom to be- & most of all anyone who has ever felt intimidated by their camera! This book is the perfect "how-to" when learning how to use your camera, its settings, and capture the best memories of your family!
    & I will definitely be adding it to all baby shower gifts from now on!

  • BEAUTIFUL & INSPIRATIONAL !!!

    Pre-ordered this beautiful book & couldn't wait to receive it . . . when it arrived I sat down and read it "cover to cover"! Couldn't put it down as each story & photo recipe enticed me to see what was next. Of course I started with the back cover and was so touched by the last chapter, how MeRa captured the innocence and the beautiful spirit of each special child. Even now my eyes are misty, done with great sensitivity & joy! Even if you're not a photographer you will be inspired with ideas on how to 'capture & remember what defines your child' from toddler to teen at your next photo session. My new favorite gift for parents & grandparents! BRAVO MeRa you've done it once again!!!

  • Great book for anyone who wants to take beautiful, meaningful pictures of their children.

    I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Your Child In Pictures. I purchased Your Baby On Pictures over a year ago and I find myself referring back to that book for inspiration and instruction. This book exceeds all expectation and I know I will use this book just as much as the first. There are 40 different recipes in this book that will inspire you to capture those fleeting moments of childhood. Each recipe includes how to set up the shot, and aLso the camera settings. This book is perfect for any Mom (or Dad) that wants to improve their photography, take meaningful images of their child and to be inspired. You will love it!
