The book is amazing and great for every parent. I have 3 children all very close in age and it is very helpful in knowing how to help each child in the way that works best for him/her. I greatly appreciate the personal stories the writers added, it make it very easy to relate. I also love that it is very matter of fact in the tone and not lecturing about how you should or shouldnât raise a child. Itâs kind of like here are the proven facts, use them how you see fit. I really enjoy the book and look forward to using for reference as my children grow.
As a mom and social worker in the field of early childhood, I feel fairly informed on best practices and brain development and I learned a lot in just two of the grades outlined in this book. If youâre a parent, get this read ASAP!
No parent should be without this useful handbook to help guide them through their childrenâs elementary years! The tips, games, tools and information inside this book is easily accessible and fun to apply. I love how the authors included nutritional and sleep tips as well as many authors neglect the biological tools when talking about Brian function.
It's clear that a tremendous amount of research went into this book. If you are a parent, or work with kids, Brain Stages is a must read. Never have I seen such useful information about the development of a child's brain go into one book. This author writes clearly and succinctly, translating a complex subject into something every lay person can understand. It's a fun and stimulating compilation of useful material.
Great information, fun game suggestions, and engaging stories that give parents peace of mind that they aren't alone in their struggles. Well organized too - with an index - making it easy to find what you need. Such a great book.
I met Trish in at LAX by happenstance. Discovering her passion about this topic inspired me, as a new parent, to purchase her book. I am so thankful I did! It very simply explains and provides direction as to how my children think at their respective brain stages. I am using it to groom my children through their educational lives and to assist me with interacting with their behavior.
An amazing book for parents who want to actively raise their children to be the best they can be. Knowing how childrenâs brains mature is key. Very helpful ideas on how to interact with your child .. a great guide - a must have for all parents !
I love how Brain Stages describes the learning expectations and capabilities of students at every elementary age. As a third-grade teacher, I found reading about all grade levels useful. Chockfull of math games, ways to build reading comprehension, and effective tools to squash test anxiety, Brain Stages is a useful reference for teachers and parents alike.
I am the mother of an 8-year-old and I found this book extremely helpful. The format is very easy, categorized by ages so you only need read what applies to you. The science of the brain is written in a way that is easily understood. I especially enjoyed what the author calls the "Real Deal." They are real life stories that I could relate to. It made me realize Im not the only parent with these experiences! I highly recommended this book!
Not just well written and brimming with info about children's learning abilities (up to 5th grade) and the different ways of dealing with and interpreting those life-stages, but also chockful of things for parents to do and games for them to play with their kids.

Customers review a selection of bathroom rugs for quality, comfort and durability. While some are pleased with the plush and softness of their purchases, others are disappointed that their rugs do not live up to advertised features, or did not match the advertised colour. Despite these issues, buyers find the rugs to be worth the price and are satisfied with their purchases overall.

The Owala water bottle is a unique and well-designed hydration flask with a subtle straw to drink without tipping it. Although some customers complained of leaks and quality control issues, most love its versatility, convenience, and ability to keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours. It has a wide mouth for easy insertion of ice and comes with a sippy straw, a carry loop, and a lockable cap. It fits in most cupholders but not in bicycle bottle cages. Overall, it is a reliable and stylish water bottle that offers great value for money.
