A must for any outdoorsman.
Whether it's for yourself or a gift, I don't think you'll find an outdoorsman who doesn't love this book. You're sure to learn something. Everything from gear and shelter to emergency wilderness care. This book covers a ton and is a great read. The people from MeatEater really know how to put a spin on things to make the content relatable and enjoyable to read.

A Second Rate Survival Manual - READ
As a survival manual, this book leaves a lot to be desired. Even Steve Rinella's brother wrote of the book "The target audience for all this is clearly hunting-curious nonhunters because seasoned hunters don’t need 101-level how-to content." I wish I saw this before I bought the book. If you are a more experienced outdoorsman, skip. If you are not and want a survival manual, the SAS guide is a better book by far. With all this being said, there are still a few tidbits to learn and I definitely found some pieces of info useful but still not worth it as a whole.

There are other issues but my two main ones are:

1. the sketches are colorless and not detailed. For those diagrams of edible and poisonous plants, they are effectively useless for actual identification purposes
2. it's written almost exclusively in prose, as opposed to bullet points or tables which makes it hard to reference information quickly or be able to summarize what you read. There are countless examples where information is spread over several paragraphs or pages and could easily be put into table format to be far better communicated.

It does have a lot of good info but it is veryyyy dry. I wish they put more real life stories as examples in with the endless lists.

Packed full of great info
This book was packed full of great info for anyone engaged in outdoor activities, and delivered in the classic Rinella / MeatEater fashion which made me laugh out loud a few times and smile regularly during the read. This will serve as a great resource I know I’ll refer back to over the years

I have brought this with me to the field to show my soldiers how to do things in the field. Shows you how to do a lot of things that that we take for granted in today’s society. Would recommend over and over.

Necessary reading
This is a great guide for outdoor survival and general skills. You don't need to be a survivalist to make use of this book. Quite frankly, if you spend anytime outdoors recreating at any capacity, the skills and information taught in this book is essential reading to keep you from being in a survival situation. Highly recommended.

This case seems to be built well and it will probably protect the phone. However, do not order this case for the color. As you can see the case that I ordered was supposed to be a glossy deep blue. The case that arrived looks like cheap muted blue plastic. Really good case for the money! Husband loves it. It is a little thicker than some cases, so it does not work on some chargers. Pero no traía el protector de pantalla Not slippery This product was exactly what I ordered. It fits well and snaps easily on the iPhone. While it is light, it also provides the needed protection of the phone. Love the pink color - my phone is easily recognizable around other phones. Probably the best phone case I've ever had. It just feels tight, like apple made it. The attention to detail really shows. Very good service but the mobile got bigger. Feels way chunkier on the phone than it looks in the pics. Will be returning bc it feels like the OG Otterbox and I wanted something with a lower profile. Great product and protects my phone! Pretty! Felt like a Lego. Big and bulky. Threw it in the trash didn’t bother to return because it came with a few screen protectors that appear to descent will try them out but low expectations Snug fit required a little effort to the insert phone, but the result was/is a feeling that the phone will be protected - and that's the point afterall. Cover glass fit perfectly. Wish I would have selected a more vibrant color! Otherwise, happy as a clam~ Great case for the price. Protects the phone all around very well. Is it amazing looking? No. Is it fancy? No. Does what I ask of it.. Great phone case plus 2 screen protectors with minimal headache to install!! Definitely recommend 😁 I didn’t like the design and the color was not like the picture. When I got it I was surprised at the super bright pink color, and it looks like pepto bismal :( I’ll use it only for a week but right now it’s not something I would purchase again. Not as illustrated. Case had hole in middle back. Info and specs did not identify this hole I would not have ordered case with this specification Case is slim, clean, and seemingly sturdy. Glass protector cracked the second day I had it. Dropped 2' at most from my lap while sitting outside in a lawn chair and the screen protector cracked all the way through top to bottom in two spots. Okay let me just start off with i am clumsy. Literally the actual worst person when it comes to dropping things. I have broken countless phones in the past due to my inability to actually keep a grasp on things in my hands. I have had this phone case for about a month now and I have literally thrown my phone across a room on accident and there’s not even a scratch! I was scared about it being too bulky since most cases made for people as destructive as I am are huge and thick to protect from impact but this is actually really nice it’s not too bulky but thick enough to keep my poor phone safe from me. It’s bright and has beautiful vibrant colors. Overall I would most definitely buy this again. Solid material. Easy to grip. I maybe dropped my phone one time since I got this phone a month ago. Had this case installed by ATT so it was done right. Screen cracked the FIRST time it fell. I def would get a better product this is cosmetic not meant to actually protect your phone. Very happy I wanted a very sturdy case and its great. Its heavy like a brick but its going to protect the phone. I dont mind the bulky case. Solid quality case and great provide durability if phone is dropped. Easy to install screen protector that fits perfectly with phone and case. Wireless charging doesn’t work with this case! I will keep this product as I already installed the screen protector and cannot return it. It’s a bummer not to be able to use the wireless charger though. I got this for my son and I don’t know how many times he has dropped it but it has held up. Great product.
