  • These gel caps have 12mg of Astaxanthin in each of 60 Softgels. Also supplements with Organic Flaxseed Oil. I’ve learned recently Astaxanthin is great for eye health and joints. This supplement is essentially an algae oil grown in New Zealand. Very small liquid gel and so easy to take.

  • Many years ago I discovered, quite by accident, that astaxanthin eased my PMS symptoms, as well as reducing joint pain and improving the condition of my skin. I have taken it ever since. It can sometimes be expensive, depending on brand, of course, and its quality can vary wildly. I have tried so many different brands, but AstaNZ Plus seems to be one of the best. It is a potent form of natural astaxanthin oil. Each soft gel capsule contains the equivalent of 12 mg. of astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant that can reduce inflammation and protect cells from oxidative damage.

    Each bottle of AstaNZ Plus comes with 60 soft gels, or a two-month supply. This product is non-GMO and is free from gluten, wheat, yeast, egg, fish, soy, nuts, and lactose, and there are no artificial flavorings or preservatives. The soft gels are relatively small (much smaller than most fish oil pills, for example). They are very easy to swallow, and I have noticed absolutely no problematic side effects. All of this for the fair price of under thirty bucks is impressive. There are two levels of tamper-proof security on each bottle: a plastic ring around the outside and a "lift and peel" seal over the mouth. This helps keep the product fresher for longer, too, of course. The bottle I received had an expiration date three years out, which is just one more reason I strongly recommend this great product!

  • Bacckground..

    😸I became interested in Astaxanthin after researching it from Arthrimaxx for cats, I've been using ever since ( usually sports research brand) i was excited to find i can go outside and garden for 6 hours without sunscreen and though I feel like my skin gets warm, I get no burn of any kind....( longer, and i use sunscreen)I also noticed after a week of my cat taking the formula that contains this, her limp was much better..

    What i found..
    LOVE the colour in my skin, ( a slight rosey glow, kind of like the golden glow when we started juicing carrots!...Not like scary bronzer type thing, just nice colour like when you've been on vaca and been eatin good n out in sun)
    LOVE the extra sun protection, pushed my luck one day and went out for a few hours exposing my back which hadn't seen the sun in a year...Did burn, but didn't hurt, and turned brown pretty quickly, and most notably didn't get that weird sick feeling you get when you get a burn...
    Love that it is fading my sunspots!! ( also bulk supplements Msm, but took this first)
    Night vision clearer...( first I thought the nights had been getting clearer, then realized it was me lol
    After 2 weeks I thought my eyes were strangely getting tired ( the opposite of what I expected)...then I realized that it was because I was reading like a fiend which used to give me a headache, and now doesn't!!

    THIS BRAND.. from New Zealand which was what i was always seeing was best..
    Seems comparable in price and quality, like the addition of Flaxseed oil..

    As far as the 😺, she and her brother stayed on that the rest of their lives, she never limped again

    I have taken various brands of Astaxanthin for the last few years and have enjoyed the protective effect it has in reducing my susceptibility to sunburn. I haven't burned once from summer sun exposure since I've been taking it! Note: Astaxanthin is NOT a substitute for sunscreen. All of us should use sunscreen as a protective against skin damage and in extremes, skin cancer! The nice thing about Astaxanthin is that if you are out unexpectedly you don't have to fear a severe sunburn.

  • So I’ve been reading about astaxanthin for awhile and I’ve decided to give it a try. Although I read how it benefits many different things in the body, I am interested in its help for aging eyes. I also note the antioxidant power of this supplement . And any skin and joint benefit will be gladly accepted too. I have used other products from Plantonin , specifically the NMN, and was very pleased. The addition of organic flaxseed oil is another added bonus. My eyes are getting old and I want to keep from needing anything more than reading glasses for as long as possible. I’m hopeful.
