  • Jam packed with great ideas and information

    This is a LOT bigger book than you would expect. There are tons of ideas - as long as you have the freedom and funds to travel all over the world. Enjoyable reading. Good reference. One can dream!

  • I don't think the author has been to US

    I read over the book at a B&B we were staying at.
    the book is simply a waste of a good idea. there are some interesting ideas regarding europe, but the coverage of places we are very familiar with , such as the pacific NW, were woefully superficial.
    for example, no mention of crater lake or the spectacular coast or various glacier covered volcanoes in central high desert or old growth forests etc but "geocaching in beaver creek"? that is like suggesting going to the mall as a bucket list item. nothing wrong with going to the mall and do some shopping, it just isn't a bucket list item and skips over some spectacular bucket list worthy things to see and do!!
    like I said, I doubt the author has even been to the US since coverage of europe has much more depth

    I have given this book as a gift twice now. And both recipients loved this substantial, gorgeously photographed work. Heavy paper inspiring.

  • Book arrived worn

    While I think the book itself is phenomenal, I was disappointed with the book’s quality upon arrival. The edges and cover are worn, the binding appears to be breaking down and pulling away from the book spine. I requested a replacement in hopes the next copy arrives and actually looks “new.”

  • Fantastic book

    If you want to explore the world from the safety of your armchair this is the book for you.
    I love this book. Its a good example of what I look for: high quality paper, sharp photographs, varied backgrounds and, above all, photographers who hoofed it to different corners of the world.

    Fly, don't run, to get this book. It will find pride of place on your book shelf too.
    My 3 favorite aviation art books are:
    - Warbirds by Adam Toby
    - Grumman F-14 Tomcat by Dave Parsons
    - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

  • Mistake after Mistake

    I think the publisher needs to remove this book - it is full of mistake it is sad that I missed the window to return it or it would have gone back I wish I would have read the reviews first...

  • Like reading an encyclopedia.

    I purchased this as a Christmas gift but was too embarrassed to give it. This is information you could extract from an encyclopedia. There is no insider information of local unique features. Nor is there a single (that I could find) occasion to meet an exceptional individual. Ever think of a bucket list that doesn't include meeting a person?
