    I really like these ASICS running shoes. I do not run but I walk a lot. They’re comfortable and fit well. I wear a wider shoe and these are always my choice. I have tried other brands but nothing comes close.

    I have other shoes more expensive but these are a lot more comfortable. I don’t wear socks with shoes so not sure I needed to size up. Really like the brand. They are new but very good.

  • cheap poorly made shoes

    I have been an Asics customer for over 40 years. These Gel Exite 9 shoes are cheap. The tongue is just so very thin, nothing like the nice thick tongues on a GT-2000 or Gel Nimbus 23. Then there are the insoles or foot beds. They are so THIN its a crime to call them padded in any way. They offer no arch support or padding. If you buy these shoes you will need to buy a much better insole, and then you might as well buy more expensive shoes for the 20-30 bucks the insoles will cost. . The 6 month old insoles from my Nimbus 23's are way more supportive, and I wear them every day. Asics can make an insole for under 50 cents, but they put these junky, less than 1/10 of an inch insoles in these shoes. After you wear them for a week they will flatten down to about 1/20 of an inch. Asics Gel Excite are nice looking, and the size 12 extra wide are really wide, but there is no reason to buy a second pair, unless they give you a better insole. If they still made the Gel Nimbus I would have bought them instead of these 20$ shoes with a 70$ price. They feel just like cheap Walmart $19.95 shoes with the thin tongue and insoles.

    Went into the store looking for new ASICS, but after three stores I couldn’t find my size. Was able to find them easily for a great price here. They are comfortable, lightweight, and look great! Not to mention the price point!
