This work amazing with my iPad!
I loved it - but for some unknown reason the pencil Gen 2 just stopped working. I started investigating possible solutions. A ‘Apple Pencil bubble’ would appear WITHOUT the charging display beneath. Nothing HAPPENED. I went to the Bluetooth setting and seen my pencil was disconnected. So, I pushed the forget this device, which did not help. Now, my iPad does not even recognize or find my pencil. And when I put the pencil on the magnetic strip - the Apple Pencil bubble appears, blinks and goes away. Nothing again. I have tired reaching out to Apple support - NO LUCK, NO FEEDBACK - NO EMAIL RESPONSE FROM APPLE. $80 is a lot for me, unfortunately. I have only had it for 2 months, barely. I have even taken my iPad case off and tried charging the pencil. No luck, I just want a replacement is all. I need help Amazon. Please - 1 star for Apples support team.
It broke
Pen doesn’t do much and is not intuitive. When used the keyboard disappears, when you want to insert a letter in a word and use it to move the cursor it puts a long space in the spot, can't use it instead of a finger to type on the virtual keyboard or use it on web pages, doesn't scroll or change the location when playing video, doesn't allow you to highlight PDFs or write notes and markings, doesn't natively change hand writing to type text...plus it's big, heavy, and requires Bluetooth connection and charging from the iPad so if you leave it somewhere else you might have to charge it before you can use it again. Basically it's only good for drawing. IPad settings has a page for the pen that has few options in terms of what you can change. I don't understand why this pen is so expensive when Samsung S pens do all off the above come free with the tablet. Microsoft Surface pens are close to half the price and do more. I've owned multiple iPads, multiple Samsung tablets, and one Surface. Does being white and Apple justify this price? I don't think so.
Kept disconnected... it writes well but only on some applications not all. It's not a true pen so it doesn't work that good.
The pencil barely works. Every other word I try to write doesn't show up.
Mine seemed like it was refurbished and disguised with a little white paint.
Never got to use it because it doesn’t work with my iPad
Nice
The same product you can get new for less price! It’s a win win! Works great with my iPad Pro 12.9 4th generation iPad. Battery life is great and I’ve never had one problem in the months I have been using it everyday!
Battery failed just 4 months after the 1 year Apple warranty expired.
Muy buen producto para el iPad
I bought a brand new 2023 iPad Pro this year and purchased this pencil to accompany it. This pencil worked perfectly until I updated my iPad Pro. It will not paid to the device.
Works perfectly. Can live without it.
Súper fácil de parear y utilizar.
Pencil 2 en iPad Pro es la mejor combinación
Stopped pairing and working after 6 weeks. Very dissatisfied
Pen wasn’t compatible, sent it back months ago haven’t heard back from seller about refund
Works as it should
It’s a hard return process and this pen which states it’s good for tenth gen iPads they need to fix their summery because this was a waste of money for me…
It's great but sometimes it randomly goes to 0% despite always being plugged in and connected to my iPad. Not sure if it's faulty or if there's something wrong with my ipad. Still happy with my purchase though because I use it to draw and it has been awesome so far.
Works perfect and better price
Its so smooth. Expensive, but well worth it.
the pencil I recieved was broken and would not connect to my ipad (6th gen, which is compatible) no matter what I did. Multiple hard resets, I think the pencil I was sent had a defective battery as my ipad would recognize it, but would not connect to it. I dont believe it was tested before being sent out.
Un dia dejo de cargarse y ya no se concecta a la mi iPad
Are there any better stylus/pens? No. Does this work for iPhone? No. Is it a good tool for artists? It's aight.
WOAH MAMA WHY'S IT 90$?! I've never felt more afraid of something falling under my butt or losing something in the cushions. For an officially supported glorified bluetooth stylus (and seemingly only good one at that) this thing is not worth the money but as most Apple users tend to ask, do you have a choice?
This is certainly the best stylus (for artists) but at a great cost. You don't really have a choice unless someone manages to also make a decent pressure sensitive pen for much cheaper.
On that note, if you don't really need pressure sensitivity, by all means buy literally anything else.
Being a digital artist is pain.
Pros
- It make drawin' real good. Tilt sensitivity, pressure sensitivity, palm rejection 'technology' (that doesn't work half the time), you name it.
- It actually feels fairly nice, I thought it not only looked goofy but would feel goofy but I suppose I was only half wrong.
- It's also somewhat weighty, it feels like a nice weighty pen you would use to traditionally draw.
- The wireless charging is what almost makes up for the price for me. You can just keep it on the side of your iPad all day and it just stops charging whenever it's fully charged so you don't overload the battery but more importantly it'll always be fully charged whenever you need it.
Cons
- Apple, my wallet is already dead please stop.
- The palm rejection technology don't technologic too good. Sometimes I'll put my hand down and suddenly I've undone three things and I just put my pen down to draw soooo there goes all that work. Thank you, Apple, very cool.
- The fancy little "tap the side to swap between tools" function hardly seems to work either. It feels like this thing has a mind of its own and sometimes it'll work just fine and other days I'm tapping this thing like nobody's business and it just doesn't do anything. 90 dollars you say?
This Apple Pencil is good, but it scratches easily.
Have been wanting one, and I'm so happy about it!!!
I thought I got an awesome deal. I’ve never had one of these before, and it was just awesome until it stopped working just a little more than a month after I bought it it will not charge no matter what I do then I got to reading back through the comments and I see that it’s been a problem. I wish I would’ve read them to begin with, do yourself a favor give Apple the money and get one that’s going to work long-term
Packaging was intact but the metal on the inside of the pencil tip was all scraped up, clearly damaged. It could connect to my iPad but the pencil itself wouldn’t draw.

Some reviewers mention that the moisturizing strip may not last long, but still find the razor effective. Refills are also praised.
