Why Doesn't Your Feed Collect Data?
2 mins read - Updated on Oct 09, 2025If your feed isn’t collecting data, it usually means one of a few common issues is blocking the process. By understanding these reasons, you can quickly resolve the problem and keep your data flowing without interruption.
1. The Plan You Selected
Kimola collects data through platform APIs or its own scraping methods, each with their unique limitations. For instance, Twitter offers several subscription tiers based on data volume. If your plan includes a monthly data cap of 10,000 records, data collection will automatically stop once this limit is reached for that month.
For a deeper understanding of how your subscription affects data collection, please refer to our "Understanding Package Usage for Feeds" article.
2. Sourced from Channels
Kimola provides the ability to track data across various channels. However, if a channel modifies its API, this can lead to a temporary halt in data collection. Rest assured, our development team is vigilant and acts swiftly to implement necessary updates and improvements in such scenarios.
3. Credit Card Declined
An unsuccessful payment, whether due to an expired card or other issues, can interrupt your data collection. To resolve this, ensure your account reflects your latest credit card information.
If your payment details are current but you still encounter errors, consider contacting your bank to facilitate the payment process and ensure uninterrupted service.
By checking these factors first — plan usage, channel/API changes, and payment status — you can often fix data collection issues right away.
If the problem continues, our support team is ready to help you get your feeds running smoothly again.
