I have stayed at The Cairndale twice in the last month. Each time the staff have made me feel incredibly welcome, on the second stay my room was upgraded with some extra nibbles left for me after commenting on them on my first trip. The rooms are cosy, comfortable, traditional, and have everything you would need for an overnight stay. The leisure facilities were spotless and a great bonus. Situated in Dumfries centre everything is within walking distance, ideal place for a weekend in Dumfries.

We were impressed with the hotel, its size, decor and facilities, all of which exceeded our expectations for a 3 star hotel.  Our room was large, clean and in a good state of repair (although the bathroom door didn't close properly).  We felt assured by the measures taken in light of Covid-19, including taking our temperatures with a contactless thermometer on arrival.  All staff were very friendly, professional and helpful.  We would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending the hotel to others.

We arrived on spec (21.06 pm) on our way home and the lady on reception was very helpful and included breakfast in our price as advertised.We appreciated that and is why I have scored as excellent.I found the bed too hard but that may be just me. The staff at breakfast were also very nice but the coffee could be better.

We booked an overnight stay at the Cairndale hotel and it was beautiful. The staff were lovely and helpful. We had a family room - comfortable beds and stunning bathroom . The leisure facilities were fab . Pool was great and the steam and sauna room were just what we needed after a long drive . The hotel itself is in a great location, short walk into the town . Our room was roasting with this heat , we called down to reception and asked for a fan and within 5 minutes they had a fan at our door . Great hotel and staff , would definitely recommend a stay here

just spent 2 nights B and B at Cairndale on hotels 40th birthday midweek deal and thoroughly enjoyed it Good location for short walk to town with free parking on site. Staff excellent and helpful and meal in restaurant on first night was very good. Pool and spa not open yet as work continues on it and some noise in morning from work being done but we knew this before going so no real complaints. Decent choice for breakfast and would return in future.

Arrived Friday night , huge car park, very centrally located and checked in. Pleasant reception staff , very clean, comfortable and large bedroom with additional settee . Breakfast was buffet style with large choice of continental, British hot buffet, Danish pastries and more. Fantastic leisure facilities with swimming pool, sauna, gym and spa facilities. Great bars and more . Highly recommend
