Bumble App Reviews: Limitations, Expensive Purchases, and Technical Issues

Stupid apps always do this. My new name is J. Just the letter. But all these dumb apps say my names too short an entry. I’m basically forced to take on a masc version of my name(Jay) when I’m non-binary and don’t resonate with it at all. It’s infuriating for an app that’s supposed to be accepting. It’s my name!😤

This app is no better than any other, and a waste of time considering all the fake profiles that are on new moderation is done. They will watch them they say. Verification should be a must less fake profiles on grinder than there is here.

And what happened to the sending comments?

I paid for 6 months for around $129, my account got blocked and i can’t get my money back. I don’t want a full refund just the money for the months I didn’t use yet they refuse to give me any money back.

Expect to pay lots if you actually want to be active. Also spotlights are OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced. $50 just to get 15 spotlights… that is honestly a crime. Disappointed that a company could do this to people just trying to find a date.

Be careful when searching, the filters are broken, you get trans women and men in with the real women search for some reason. They gave you an undo button then took it away to charge you for it, they gave you a free complement and now they took that away to charge you. It’s all about money

Bumble charges users for everything...and they put you on a monthly cycle automatically. I bought a 3-month membership, but I still have to pay EXTRA for things like sending a "compliment" or sending a "super like." Like someone? Let them know you like them with this do-dad for an ectra $2.99. Not getting enough responses? Pay an extra fee to be seen. Is the app easy to use? Yes. Does the app work reliably? Absolutely. You get three stars for that. The nickel and diming for "extras" will cost you stars. And their customer support is non-existent.

Bumble is a good app but way to expensive, you get 10 likes then you have to wait forever to get more, it says i have multiple likes but not one shown was a like. Then they want you to pay way to much money a week!?! just to get more. Facebook dating is way better you get loads of liking and you can see for free who likes you and change your area. Bumble is straight cheeks

Have been on and off bumble for a bit, tried the premium and honestly refund it if I could. It’s trash and has zero help other than to take your money (while being the most expensive dating app).

Best bees feature gives you TWO just TWO per day and you can only pick ONE of them. Tinder gives you 10 on their paid options, that you can like all 10.

Bumble is set to be even more of an ego boost for women than tinder is. At first I was like eh it’s ok that women get the choice of talking. But if you feel you’d really like to *attempt* talking to a person you can’t.

The customer service at bumble is awful. I bought a lifetime premium when I was in my 20’s when the app was actually useful. They must have been trying to scrap lifetime premium users because I was “banned.” They wouldn’t explain why they banned me and when I asked to explain they ended the ticket inquiring about it. Honestly, it’s not a huge loss, bumble has become tinder 2.0. Promoting attractiveness as the main right/left shallow swiping dating process. If you’re looking to hookup go to tinder if you’re looking for something real use Hinge. This app has become a giant money grab…they don’t want you off the app.

I have enjoyed using this app, but can’t get over the fact it measures distance over water rather than driving distance. People on Long Island are not 30 miles from people on CT. Should not be too hard to figure this out!

Bumble Support tells you to "Contact us on social media" if you have a problem. Email was sent on 3/8, 3/10,3/17,3/20,3/30,5/30 Case 84382738 All with no reply. Facebook Messages 4/23,4/25,5/01, 5/03 No response to any message and not even marked "seen". Instagram 3/8 @ 11:41am, 3/9 @ 1:51pm, 3/14 @ 5:08pm, 3/19 @ 4:49pm, 7/13 @ 2:06 pm. All with no reply and not even viewed. Twitter 5/19 @ 12:03pm, 5/30 @ 5:03pm, no response. Opened a new case 87136618 on 7/13 showing proof that I paid and am blocked and again, not a reply. I have screenshots of all the messages showing nothing but automated responses until I ask for an agent. I tried the block option, the technical bug option, account option and nothing gets a response. So do you still want to try and tell us to contact you on social media??? Do a google search. I’m not the only one experiencing this.

It keeps asking for a first photo. I put my photo in and and says I still need it.

I liked the app when I had the option for unlimited likes, instead of being forced to pay for a subscription weekly which isn’t cheap. The subscription comes with other features that I feel are great for people who need extra features but limiting the liking option for a potential new friend is not one of those “extra” features I should be required to pay for. It’s just a way to get me to pay $$$$. But I understand that the app needs to make money on people so they’ll get a lower rating of satisfaction.

I’ve been on the app a few times and had the least results out of the two dating apps I’ve tried. It’s not my favorite.

Speed dating doesn’t work. Women don’t message. Rarely getting matches (can count the total on one hand in the entirety of using this app, since close to its initial launch).

Not a single date out of this app.

It’s not great. It’s WAY too expensive, and it doesn’t work even when you do pay.

I really wish there was an app that actually worked for shy men like myself. But there’s not. Even this one is garbage. Don’t waste your time or money guys.

I like bumble and I’ve used it for a while. I have been disappointed by the app a few times because instead of scrolling it’ll swipe left on profiles resulting in missed matches. The notifications are not well synced to the app either.

It’s logged me out twice and each time my account just doesn’t exist anymore so can’t reply to matches.

So I try to verify myself but for what ever reason the app does not accept my picture. It does not allow me to go back to my profile page or cancel the retake so I can delete my account. Support has not replied to delete my account either. Really not happy
