Mixed Reviews for PUR Plus Faucet Mount Water Filtration System

Save your money. Terrible! The water come extremely slow. I found myself changing the filter once a week.
It took 20 min to fill up a gallon jug.
I decided to throw it out and get something else.
Don't waste your money

Have used Pur Plus filters for quite a few years and love the results. Feel like I'm getting excellent tasting water that's healthy for me and certainly easier than refilling gallon bottles every week. So glad I took the advice of an auto mechanic, of all people, who spotted a bunch of empty bottles in my car many years ago!

The last one I purchased from here all of the sudden started having incredible water pressure when filtering water. I found a little gasket floating at the bottom of the housing. I figured it did it’s job and ordered another one. It did the same. So I got a 3rd one, and it i s not a charm.
Water tastes like the tap, and the tea pot is getting major hard water deposits.

Both FM350V and the newer FM3700 are trash builds. I don't think I've spent more mental and emotional energy trying to get a plumbing add-on to work. For the FM3700, the issue is that the o-ring is too small to prevent leaking out the top. It's unfortunate because PUR water filters NSF 401 which isn't common on tap filters.

Super easy installation. I have old galvanized pipes and city tap water. With this I don’t see the orange color from the galvanized pipes, but I still wait a few moments before filling my water bottle to be safe.

The taste of the water is incredibly bitter. I’m not sure if there are still harmful contaminates in the water because of this taste.

The ad is misleading. The product is not made of stainless steel but metallic coated white plastic. The box is labelled "stainless style". I paid more fore this product than the ones labeled plastic as the plastic ones i bought previously cracked. There is a "fine line" between tight enough not to leak and cracking the plastic.
