Evernote Users Frustrated with Upgrade Prompts & High Fees

Unlock Evernote's User Feedback Insights & Trends

Users express frustration over Evernote's frequent upgrade prompts, high subscription fees, lagging performance, and reduced free features. Many long-time users feel disappointed with the constant push for paid versions, leading to a shift towards alternative note-taking apps like Notion. Complaints include excessive pop-ups, search function failures, and loading issues on mobile devices. Evernote's recent price hikes and aggressive monetization strategies have alienated once-loyal users, forcing them to seek more cost-effective and user-friendly alternatives.

  • Terrible ads

I get the need to generate revenue for an app, but do you seriously need to create multiple pop ups with hard to find dismiss buttons every time u open a note? Its a bit ridiculous. I’m taking my business to other note apps.

  • Broke what was good before

The latest Evernote has more bugs instead of fewer, beginning with login problems, including clipping failures, and the icing on the cake is that tech support believes they don’t need to evaluate nor fix the problems.
    A waste of money.

  • Free use is impossible now

Long time Evernote user but in the last year it’s impossible to use for free. Expect at least 10 pop ups a session begging you to upgrade with close buttons buried in sub menus. Horrible cash grab product now.

  • Aggressively pushy to upsell

I have enjoyed Evernote and find it helpful. However, they have become aggressive and pushy by constantly interrupting use of the App with requests for paid versions. It is beyond reasonable.
