Good heavy weight on the arm and overall feel. The arm does screw off really easily but a bonus to clean the portafilter easily without damaging and washing the wood. Metal portafilter is a good build as well, however it seems like there is a cheaper reflective brushed chrome on the outside than just the steel of the product. Mesh screen comes in handy. Basket is very snug in there and can also fit Bambino baskets as well. However the mesh screen will not fit Bambino baskets well. I see reviews on this being messy and spraying, it's definitely not the portafilter, it has to do with your own puck prep and grind size. I experienced that as well on my first extraction but after dialing it in properly, I had no issues at all and it is very smooth. I enjoy using the original basket with this than putting the Breville basket in, but I do so reviews that like the latter. Great buy for a fair price

This product fit my Breville BES840XL. It’s a tad longer and weighs less than the original portafilter so it feels a little different in the hands. The functionality is on par though. It fit fine and allowed me to view my pour from the bottom. I have water streams which shows I need to work on my grind or something because water is getting through the puck to quick. Pretty neat to be able to visualize. The portafilter basket is a little hard for me to remove to clean but I just take the edge of another basket to help pry it out.

Had for 3 years, no issues with the wooden handle, all is good. Some people are complaining about spraying. I’d question whether that is the filter basket if they haven’t dug deeper to see if their puck prep is good. I thought the filter basket was an upgrade to the breville double shot that came with my machine. This portafilter fits all the baskets that came with my machine (breville bambino) and those bought after (IMS precision). Overall very pleased with the product

I've been frustrated with the original portafilter that came with our Breville espresso machine. Besides of the portafilter cup are slightly tapered, so the tamper doesn't press down as evenly as it should. This portal filter set seems to be a good replacement. The handles a little longer, and it's nice and sturdy. I also like that I can see the bottom when brewing.
At first I wasn't sure what to do with the included puck. After looking at a couple other products, I finally found that it's intended to sit on top of the grounds to help distribute the water more evenly. Perhaps I'm not enough of a coffee conneseur, but I honestly don't see much of a difference with or without it. However, I'll probably keep using it because every little thing helps

I love this portafilter. It fits the Breville Bambino perfectly, as well as the stock baskets the Bambino came with. It also comes with a basket too. It is a very affordable upgrade and way better than the plastic handle/plastic insert portafilter the machine came with. I highly recommend if you’re considering it.

Good looking handle and feels heavy and durable. Wood doesn't dent even when whacking wood against plastic trashcan to get grounds out.
