I received the scooter, opened the box, and put it on the charger. The brake lights are flashing red, and after several hours on the charger, the scooter still will not turn on. What a scam. I am so disappointed since I really needed this for commuting on my college campus. I will not be recommending this scooter company to any students.
In just one year of riding this scooter 3-4 days a week, two batteries have failed, and now two main circuit boards have failed. Both batteries failed within a month after the warranty expired. The first circuit board failed outside of warranty, but credit to Segway's service center for turning it around super quickly for free. But now the circuit board they repaired has failed after less than 50 miles. Super fun to ride, but totally unusable that kind of reliability.
Did it’s job and got me from a to b
Brought this for my son. He rides this to and from school. The battery life is good. I took the scooter to work a couple times myself. It’s faster then i expected it to be. I would definitely buy another one.
This product is not reliable. The first one I received broke down within a couple of weeks ("external battery connection board is damaged" -- wouldn't charge). After going through the replacement process, the replacement then broken within a couple of months.
The return process was extremely painful as well, with Amazon trying to take out fees and make me pay for return packaging.
Purchased and left in box until I moved closer to the city. Opened it up and it worked for .4 miles before Error 21 showed up.
Since it is outside of the return window and the paltry 6-month warranty period, I paid $550.00 for a scooter that does not work with no recourse.
Upon further investigation, this has been and is an ongoing problem with Ninebot scooters. You can find multiple people complaining about the same errors and build problems.
Open your items immediately and test. Just because it is new-in-box does not mean it will work when you open it up.
Do your research before you purchase a scooter and only purchase from companies who will stand by their products.
poorly made
This scooter was so good someone decided to steal it while I was in the gym and it was locked up.
Great buy, we have 4 of them, have them since 2 years and everyone rides them and still doing great, totally worth it
A few weeks of fun and now error mess with battery
Looking at the other reviews I should have never purchased this…
Have not started to try to fix but from what I now read this is going to be a nightmare and I will have a $700 unusable crap pile in my garage
Wish me luck as I explore the unfixable beeping and error messages
Ugh
It apparently has a recall but they haven't recalled it. Unless you ride this on glass at some point it's going to break and they want you to buy a new external battery
After year of using my girlfriends (her weight is around 100lb) scooter broke. She drove it just on the road. It has huge crack and is unsafe to use it now. Was trying to get in touch with customer service too…. I understand some of features like battery has shorter lifetime but safety parts like contruction of the base of scooter should be much stronger. Does it have any warranty on that kind of defect?
Speed not as advertised, sport mode difficult to navigate. Max speed 12 mph
Buyer beware! After just 2 months of riding my scooter is completely dead.
The way the ES 4 is designed with the external battery puts the brunt of impacts taken by your scooter on 4 tiny pins that connect the battery to the scooter. If the screws holding the two loosen in the slightest, it can lead to one of the pins breaking.
Now my scooter won’t charge or turn on. There’s no replacement part offered by Segway, so I guess I now have a 700$ piece of garbage to shove under my bed.
Please only use on VERY FLAT terrain, or at least buy the warranty, cause you’re gonna need it.
No energy strength to go through a minimum slope without either stopping or reducing the speed to a minimum in which walking become a bettter option than using the scooter.
Same external battery issue as the ES3 - loses recognition on the go for no reason. If they'd fix the issue this would be perfect, but it has been an issue with the 2 ES3's I've owned (issue wasn't as bad on those in the beginning, but worse over time) and this ES4 (terrible from day 1). Returned it and went with a competitor's product.
The battery don't last.
I bought this scooter in Feb and during 4 months it was working perfectly, and I was so happy with this purchase. But now … since 1 week battery is almost dead, I got an error message every time I charge it and it seems that’s a commun problem for this model. Unfortunately I was not aware of that before so I will request a reimbursement as I don’t want to have again similar issue with the same scooter …
While this scooter got me where I needed to go (work and quick errands), after less than two months the external battery began to loosen. After going to tighten the battery when I walked it home, I noticed the screws began to strip from the bracket. The only solution I had at the time was to both duct tape and zip tie the battery on. (Update) Since my last tightening the battery, I've had to replace the motherboard and motor, after hitting a small bump in the bike lane, and nearly a two weeks after doing so, I've had the internal battery overheat, and the scooter became unrideable over a mile from home.
You can buy yourself a way better scooter for cheaper like a niu
My scooter is not working well
The battery is always give me alarm during the charging And the external battery not working And the scooter not cover the miles as per your manufacture detail ( cover only 14 mile and it shall cover 28 mile)
The body is made of a lot of plastic and creaking, but I am definitely getting a lot of benefit from this and the range is as advertised. Hits small bumps very hard is the only issue but with proper care and riding I am sure this will last me another year or two.
Great product and range for the price.
Pros:
- decent speed and power for cruising around
- backed by a reputable brand
- app is smooth but aside from initial set up. I haven't found the need to ever look at other than to change the underglow.
Cons:
- Wheels are way too small for city streets
- build quality seems good but there's way too much plastic for me to say it's durable
- the suspension is inadequate for me at 130lbs
- front wheel drive is idiotic especially on something with tiny wheels, instant tq of an electric motor, and no sort of traction control (you'll find yourself watching for gravel more than traffic)
All in all....I'd say it's a good scooter if you live near a perfectly paved path or neighborhood but I definitely wouldn't ever recommend this for someone who commutes or thinks they're going to be able to on it.
I've had the folding mechanism fail and try to fold itself after hopping off a curb so seriously be careful if you think you can ride over that crack in the road (don't even think about a pothole)
If I could do it again I would've went with something that has much bigger pneumatic wheels. Seriously you need an "off-road" scooter if you want to ride around city streets
Update: bought end of March. Didn't make it to June. Its a POS lol steering stem became dangerously loose and was advised by Segway to void my warranty and attempt a DIY. Pick litterally ANY other company
Great scooter!! You can lock it in the Segway-Ninebot app, and the back tire completely stops and no one can take your scooter! I can go very far with it! 18.6 mph speed maximum, 28 miles range. Great to go travel around town and different cities! I love it and you will too!
My son loves this scooter … the perfect gift! I like the lights on it for safety and it helps get him places without needing a ride. It’s definitely worth the money.
La scooter no alacanza a llegar a la velocidad que dice que llega y la pedi por que supuestamente era las mas rapida en el rango del precio que la adquiri
the thing is made of plastic. we’ve had for 2 weeks and the bolts keep getting loose. it’s noisy like plastic pieces noisy. the other design flaw is the WIRE HARNESS that dangle below the front tire. ours crashed and it ripped off. thank god for the assurion protection.
good
I really liked this it first but that wore off after riding it for about a week. Solid tires aren't really great unless you are always riding on a perfectly smooth surface. If said surface is even slightly damp its like riding on ice. The range in good. The lights are cool. But the ride itself is not great. If they had an option with pneumatic tires I would love it
This scooter is fun and it's pretty quick. Stinks uphill and I only get about 11 miles out of a charge riding in sport mode at full throttle... but I also weight about 225lbs

These baby hair products are effective in hydrating and moisturizing curly hair without irritating the eyes. They are recommended for babies with sensitive skin. The scent may not be appealing, but it does not affect the product's functionality.

The Sceptre 20" LED Monitor is a reliable and affordable display with a 1600x900 resolution and a 75Hz refresh rate. It has an ultra-thin design, built-in speakers, and two HDMI ports. While not recommended as a primary gaming monitor, it works well for lower graphics computers such as servers. Customers have noted issues with sound quality, streaks on the screen, and the backlight being overpowering. Overall, it is a good value for those looking for a small, simple monitor for work or play.
