Definitely a must read for seasoned and new retail professional alike.
I have owned my own retail store for 9 years and I am still learning. The author seems knowledgeable about retail as an outsider in a store with a large base of employees; but not as an owner or manager of a small concern with only a few. The book is common sense, not much insight that I can use. I stopped reading it before I finished. Read everything you can, I guess.

This is the book that every Retail Store Manager needs to have. I managed retail stores for years and I wish that I would have had this book then. There is so much information that the author provides that is just not readily available to those of us who run retail stores day to day. Retail leadership is so often asked to execute on displays, planograms, inventory etc without understanding the why behind what we are doing. This book contains the why but also some very doable how's as well.
