Mixed Reviews for Redragon Gaming Mouse with RGB Backlit and 8000 DPI

I move the mouse to the top left and it’s as if I used it on sand

Issues/Cons:

- Scroll wheel is flimsy and shifts and wobbles from side to side when you're scrolling.

- Scroll wheel grinds against something when you use it. You can physically feel it grinds against something, and the sound changes.

- It makes scrolling very bothersome.

- Clicking on the scroll wheel is very stiff and doesn't feel responsive, sometimes you wonder if you clicked it.

- The Rapid Fire button position is out of reach of your thumb in a natural holding position. You cannot normally reach it unless you have an extremely long mutant thumb. I don't think this mouse was made for mutants though. So forget about using this button. The position of the button on M612 was much better.

- The bottom/floor of the mouse doesn't work well with my wooden desk for some reason (yes, I have removed the little plastic coverings). No issues with my other mice on the same surface. So now I need to look for a mousepad which I don't have.

- Software does it's purpose, but is a lot to be desired. The UI could be improved.

Pros:

- It is cheap!
- It looks nice.
- The RGB colors are pretty.
- Everything else works, aside from the issues above.

I'd give it more stars, but I feel like the scroll wheel is very important part of the mouse, and because this is the worst scroll wheel I have ever experienced in a mouse, I'm leaving this review at 1 star.

I am a fan of the Redragon products. Bought this after I tried another brand and was not pleased with the buttons not working all the time. This mouse has not failed and has extra buttons you can use for gaming which is nice.

This budget mouse gets the job done for now, but its cheap feel and flimsiness are hard to ignore. While it has some decent features, like its DPI settings, they don't quite match up to what I had with my previous Pictek/VicTsing mouse, which was both cheaper and far superior. I'm hoping to upgrade soon to something more substantial.

... and I'm increasingly having to unplug and replug the mouse because the cursor won't show when I turn on the computer. I don't know what that means, but I'd better buy a back up in case it stops working completely. Other than that, the mouse technically still works. The only other con I have is that the grooves on the sides collect dust easily.
