In 2019 I accomplished the goal of becoming a millionaire. In 2022 I retired at 60. I recently bought this book and already on a second read. Why? This book is not how to invest but a guide on how to avoid the pitfalls of greed, impatience and fear that come from investing in a most volatile market. I can move forward and continue to invest and retire with confidence. Some amazing stories from big name investors and some not so known highlight the different topics discussed in each chapter (I can personally relate to a few that happened). Don't look at what you lost in the past but look at what you can accomplish now and in future.
"The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel is a profound exploration of how our emotions and behaviors influence our financial decisions. Through insightful anecdotes and clear explanations, Housel navigates the complexities of money management with wisdom and humility. He emphasizes the importance of understanding our own biases and embracing simplicity in financial planning, offering practical advice that resonates with both novice investors and seasoned professionals alike. This book goes beyond traditional finance literature, providing valuable lessons on patience, resilience, and the psychological underpinnings of wealth accumulation. "The Psychology of Money" is an essential read for anyone seeking to cultivate a deeper understanding of their financial mindset and navigate the unpredictable landscape of personal finance with confidence.
Morgan does a decent job but doesn't understand what is occurring in the Fed, death of the dollar. He won't investigate the Fed and its relation to the dollar inside of its eventual death. He doesn't investigate the nature of the creation of the Fed (Revelations of the Red Pill or Creature from Jekyll Island) and its insidious nature to the Constitution fabricational changes that occurred in 1871. He doesn't understand the bankruptcy effect we are living thru since 2020. Wish he would but what you are going to find that as the Fed/IRS/US Dollar dies inside the realities of the BRICS nations, it will lead the way away from currencies which are not backed by an asset and away from the Fiat sickness that plagues our systems with inflationary and deflationary cycles of elitist death they create.
Mindset, mindset, mindset!! This book has a lot of great information to get your money mindset right. This isn't about strategies, because they differ from person to person, but we can all use some mindset adjusting. A must read!
This book makes you think and helps you see past the motivations we all have ingrained in us since childhood. It also helps you to gain perspective and not judge others so quickly for their "crazy" behaviors. My son recommended this book and I have been recommending it to everyone I know!
