Users Express Frustration with Recent Updates to Smule App

After the latest update, while singing the song sometimes sound like broken radio. After listening the recording before saving, I realized each time the radio broken sound, the recording voice become slower and slower.

It's been almost 5 years since i found this app. This is my go to stress reliever. It's really great and fun! The last update was good but i think that you should retain where we can drag the lyrics to repeat the recording. That feature is really great!! It has help me a lot to not record the whole song again

I love this app. Except for they took away the major perks VIPs have that everyone is annoyed with and that is beable to join expired invites. They don't seem to want to care this effect everyone. This is a great outlet for stress etc and a good way to meet people. That being said it is also cheaper to pay for you're vip status on the website then it is through the app. The free version without vip sucks but if you love to sing you'll get use to it. There is also sync issues

Also, why should my Favourites folder be Public? Let users have the option to keep private or public. Not only created Playlist, but also default Favourites 🙏 This is not EULA requirements! RECENT UPDATE KILLED SMULE EXPERIENCE☹️ The unlimited validity of the invites was an extremely useful feature. Now unable to sing any rare songs unless a singer puts in a new invite. That too we have to catch it within a week. If you are traveling or don't have access to a calm environment within 7 days, that's all. We have no other option but to turn to other karaoke apps. PLEASE BRING BACK UNLIMITED VALIDITY for INVITES🙏

I'm so frustrated. Recently I got paid membership but I'm not able to sing a single song! There can't be the same problem with every track! I start with normal volume which suddenly goes up and down. RIP my eardrums.

Love the app other than connection issues while queued and waiting to sing live. Can still listen to the current singers but I'm no longer visible to the other occupants in the room, and don't know this til I get skipped and have to go out of the app and back in . Also personal chat messages sometimes do not show up til the next day. I.E. I miss sing live notices . Edit : check constantly for updates and there is less issues with connection problems.

It's a good app♥️🌹👌👌👌. I would like and enjoying the app to singing a song properly when starting the tune and music. Who are learning the music of songs properly they may used this app to practice a song by singing. At the same time who one like the song to sing literally they will be try to sing and get entertainment.

It's a great app I used it like everyday for like a year or two and i did take a break for a few months or so then i came back to it and I noticed a big issue with my audio, I have to have my mouth next to my speaker for the app to pick up my voice but its kinda loud and my mic works perfectly fine on any other app that I have, I have a Samsung Galaxy A13 5G. I don't know if it's the app or my microphone or my case or if it's just my whole phone,but if you can try to fix it , I would be thankful

Gosh! Why did you guys ruin Smule's design? It used to be so aesthetically pleasing to look at while you play your music but now it's all ugly and wrong. All the cover photos are blurry and there is basically no colour theme anymore. Please bring back the old layout. It was the best.

Below problems are even worst in my new samsung Galaxy M34 phone ❌ Smule App not recoding properly in my new Samsung galaxy M31 phone. Although phone has been checked and confirm it is all working properly from Samsung service centre, when using Smule, recordings make too much creech/echo noise. Reported the issues with Smule support but in vain. Very frustrated Smule user. Please do not purchase VIP if you have Samsung galaxy M series phone. All other applications are working well in my phone.

I've been using Smule for years. But through all the changes and updates, one thing I'm surprised they've never fixed is android-specific. When you finish a join or a song, you have to guess what volume your join is going to come out, it's very frustrating. I'll listen to a join, adjust the volume because it sounds too loud to me, then when I'm satisfy, I publish it. But then on the actual published track, the volume wildly varies from the editing stage. Usually resulting in insanely quiet joins

It Should ask if ""I'm sure"" when I press continue after recording ... I forget to adjust so many times, hours lost...this app sucks anyway it won't save a duet with yourself ... And can't find any songs from any bands I like just a billion morons putting the same songs up...I hope you all watch your loved ones suffer and die.

With this update I am facing very serious issues after singing.... I noticed that every time I sang perfectly on beats but still after complete the song.. When I listen the preview i saw that my vocals are not stable on beats it's always behind and forward to music.... The support team will you please check this bug and do it correct

I have VIP at some times so ik what happens at sometimes for me. If you try to upload a song, it sometimes take too long even if you have good wifi. I end up having to do it again, but it also happens right again. Ig it's alr now. It's not happening much no more. I've had this app for a very long time too, so I know this app quite well. A lot of good singers on this app too! I met some people and befriended them. I now ended up playing games with some of them.

I love having the opportunity to sing with the artists!! It makes me feel like a superstar!!😁🤩 So far all the tracks sound high quality and it's pretty easy to maneuver around the app as well. Thanks Smule!😁😁

I used to absolutely love this app but now? Not so much. 1. The timing sounds fine while recording, but there is a massive delay when listening to it. 2. The categories are OK, but there's no way to mark songs that have been improperly categorized (& that's a lot) 3. There's no way to filter out artists you don't want to see or sing to . The App is basically useless now.

I've been a paid member for several years now and have been happy with the app. But lately feel it's deteriorated because of two reasons - 1. There is always a lag in the final recorded song in terms of the beat and music. Which makes it frustrating for singers. 2. The voice effects which used to be pretty awesome before are absolutely dismal now and sound just plain strange.

I'd give the app a 4-star rating, apart from a few minor inconveniences the app works really nicely and I have a lot of fun singing with other people. However, I recently opened my first group collaboration to sing with multiple friends, and we got trolled by random strangers to ruin our recording. Apparently this has been an issue for a long time. Smule should really give us the option to do invite-only group songs, or give the person that opened the option to remove those trolls layers.

This app was fantastic for a long time but lately it is terrible. The people that are in charge keep making changes that aren't required instead of focusing on what members want. I get inundated from fake profiles with scams, I get messages from people I don't follow, I get invites from supposed celebrity singers. And recently they changed the settings so you can no longer join old oc's. Terrible management!

I have a feature request. Can you provide recording at slower speeds. There are some songs that I find are too fast for me to sing in tune. So while recording the speed could be lowered like 75%, 66%, 50% etc and recorded but while playback it will play at normal speed giving a feel as if the song was sung perfect.

While I did enjoy using my Smule account in the iOS/iPadOS device, the Android app is very frustrating to use. The voice record is fading out in different intervals during the song, I already tried wiping cache and reinstalling the app several times but the issue still persists. I guess I'll have to cancel my subscription until the issue gets fixed.

Superb quality in audio recording. Not like other apps that heavily compresses vocal audio. Simple and easy to use, pretty much self explanatory features. However the app is more biased on apple phones. Android is discriminated in this app. Idk why that's so. Current Explore screen pretty much displays the same information despite refreshing it. Could improve in filtering songs. Searching songs is tedious most of the time. Song quality rating is not accurate at times. Overall it is a good app.

Ok i dont know what you guys did but its said when something is good maybe you dont need to change it for any reason. Smule was simple and used to be amazing and now i cannot record in the app at all. I cannot hear any sound of the song or record my own voice. All i can do is see that somethings recorded but it never plays. Please revert smule back to how it was. Don't bring updates to good things.. they might destroy it. I am gonna be unsubscribing if the issue isn't fixed.

I'm getting really frustrated at this point. Everytime there is an update, the app either doesn't record my voice or it does record it but it sounds robotic or skips seconds. Every single time. This shouldn't be happening with an update (specially when you say that you've fixed some bugs and as a paying customer). I hope this issue can be solved or I will cancel my subscription.
