  • One of my favorites!

    I’ve read a lot of photography books and this is one of my favorites! Out of the box and creative techniques to take one’s flash photography to another level. I’ll be reading his other books as well.

  • Poor quality printing, and overuse of Lightroom kills much interest in what is an interesting idea.

    The idea around the book really caught my attention, however the poor quality printing where images are really dark and honestly a lot of them don't look the best in quality. While it did have some decent tips, the large majority is basically done in Lightroom so a lot of post; which wasn't what I was looking for.

    Excellent book on lighting. I highly recommend this book for easy to use setups. Also good business advice. Although I've heard some of this business advice before, it was a good refresher AND reinforcement to hear it again.

  • Great practical primer

    I loved the scrappy professionalism exhibited in this book. There are very relatable scenarios and corresponding advice for getting quality images within a variety of differing constraints.
