It is a great source to give you hope, courage and insight into yourself and others. It is a fresh new way of loosing at opportunities, failures and successes in business and life.
Best book I have read in years. I love Guy Raz and this composition. Vast amount of knowledge and wisdom compiled into one fun to read book. Reading this completely changed my approach to business. I hope you can read this and experience the same impact!
This accessible, intelligent, and interesting journey of the author's growth as an entrepreneurial thinker and entrepreneur-interviewer is worth the read or listen (Audible) or both. It should be required reading for early students of entrepreneurship (it is for mine). Readers can further explore the stories shared or look for deeper meaning in the concepts and challenges presented, but this is a healthy, sympathetic, and moderately unvarnished roadmap to the domain of the entrepreneurial experience.
I love the How I Built This podcast and was anticipating that same tone, energy level, and inspiration from this book. Unfortunately, it just fell flat for me - the magic wasn't there. Guy Raz is a talented interviewer, who draws out interesting life stories and helpful advice on his podcast, but perhaps is not as capable a writer. The chapter titles are interesting and their promise drove my enthusiasm for the content, but the stories weren't as translatable to strategy as I'd hoped. The podcast is far superior to this publication.
Guy is an excellent interviewer in his podcast but he’s not that great of a writer. You get the impression he’s trying to write this book like a Malcolm Gladwell book but he doesn’t succeed in doing so. He jumps around stories a lot, doesn’t elaborate enough, and just doesn’t inspire through his words very well.
Stick to the podcast - he covers every story you’ll read here much more thoroughly - the podcast is actually inspiring, this book is not.
I love Guy Raz and his podcasts, but this book does not offer much value if you already listened to the podcast. A bit disappointing.
While not a regular reader of tech entrepreneur books or business literature in general, if you could call this that, I really enjoyed reading the author's light hearted and reflective portrayal of the ups and downs of trying to build something of your own and with "uniformed optimism" and the he lessons that come from failing. There is a humility and reflection that sometimes only really comes with failure and as a non tech billionaire I found a lot more to relate to with this story. While most of us will probably never try to take on such a challenge, there's something to be taken from that spirit of overcoming your fear of failing that can be applied to all aspects of life. Sometimes having the opportunity to see other people fail and get up again might give us the inspiration to at least try and reach our maximum potential and not get discouraged when we fall cause its about challenging yourself more than it is about succeeding.
I bought this book to read it during weekend when I'm resting. I cant stop reading it. its so informative. every chapter is a follow up from the previous chapter. valuable lessons from successful entrepreneurs I'm so happy I bought it.
New book looks like it got run over by a forklift. Obviously happened before it went into a box because the box is fine. It's a hard bound book and the cover it bent in several places. Would love to know what happened.
Incredible transformation from podcast to book. Guy Raz knows how to take you on a journey and keep you hooked.

The Graphic Artist's Guild Guide is a valuable resource for artists, providing information on pricing, contracts, and ethical practices. However, the Kindle version of the book is poorly formatted and difficult to read. Despite this, the content itself is highly informative and useful. Overall, the book is recommended for artists looking to improve their business skills and pricing strategies.

This camera bag is perfect for outdoor shoots and has enough space for a camera body with lenses. It is well-constructed, lightweight, and has multiple pockets for accessories. Despite its low cost, the bag is durable and provides adequate protection against the elements. However, some customers have experienced issues with the stitching and zipper of the bag. Overall, it is a budget-friendly option for hobbyist photographers.

This wallet is made from leather that is pleasant to the touch, and the stitching is of the highest possible quality; as a result, it is certain to resist the test of time. It stands out from the competition because of its smooth connection with Apple AirTag. The wallet is crafted from full-grain leather, giving it a sumptuous feel and ensuring durability. However, some reviewers mentioned issues with the AirTag holder, with it being too loose or easily coming off.
