The book provides practical and methodical guidance for curating a personalized wardrobe, covering aspects such as style, color palette, and fit. It includes exercises to help define individual preferences and declutter existing wardrobes. While the content is informative, the heavy textbook-like approach and lack of diverse representation in visuals may not appeal to all readers. The Curated Closet: A Simple System for Discovering Your Personal Style and Building Your Dream

Great read. Easy to understand
Fabrics, color, fit, function, lifestyle, wearability, and fashion style — this book covers it all in a practical, guided sequence.
Buy Kendall Farr's The Pocket Stylist, if you want concrete direction for shopping for your body type. If you prefer long lists about how to choose your style from moodboards along with sweeping dismissals of flattering silhouettes and colors, buy this one instead.
If you are over 35 and have read women’s lifestyle content, none of this is new. The infographics are the best part of the book, otherwise worth skipping. Perhaps better for younger readers just starting out with their adult wardrobes and style.
LOVED this book! Especially useful if you’re fashion illiterate like me. This book helped me discover my style and overall vibe. I know some people complained that it’s a lot of work with the mood boards and stuff. Really, you don’t have to do all those steps. Use this book how it best works for you! For me it was just figuring out what pieces I love best and colors and going from there. I’m an incredibly visual person, so a Pinterest board actually helped a lot even though she said it was the least affective method. Building off that and a color palette and I’m so excited to be building a wardrobe that’s cohesive and is authentic to me. This book is such a great tool. Highly recommend!
I am right in the middle of this book and am truly enjoying it. I just went in and purged my closet of things that don’t fit, are the wrong color for me or are not my style. All because this book and it’s process you follow are making me see my wardrobe in a more concise way.
Don’t be afraid of the young peoples pics that fill this book. The principles addressed work for any age! Or Style!

The Care & Keeping of You is a helpful book aimed at girls aged 8-12, providing age-appropriate information on puberty, body changes, self-care, and confidence. While some found it too basic or lacking in visuals, most appreciated its positive tone, informative content, and value for bonding with parents. However, a few critics felt it had political bias. Overall, it's a valuable resource for young girls navigating adolescence and self-discovery.
