Public Square is an app that allows users to shop at places they support. Reviews are mixed, with some users praising the app's promotion of conservative businesses and American values. However, others criticize its search function, lack of transparency, and forced account creation. Some small business owners also express frustration with the platform's limitations. Despite its potential, Public Square still needs improvement to become a viable alternative to Amazon and other e-commerce giants.

Iāve been waiting for something like this in a long time. Finally, I can shop at places that I support.
This is a nice place, but this place is for the rich.
An app designed for those people looking to free themselves shouldnāt be forcing people into creating an account just to browse and shop. Hence why target and Walmart will win.
Wonderful app. The interface is stellar and easy to navigate. The businesses also have a great interface through the app and are also easy to navigate. I really love Public Square and I canāt say I will ever buy beauty products in person again!
I was excited when I first heard about this platform, I had been saying for years someone needs to develop a platform that promotes conservative businesses for the parallel economy. So when I heard about it I eagerly signed up and added my small business
After using it for a few weeks, Iām honestly underwhelmed and quite disappointed. The app will send me advertisements from BIG corporate businesses, but there isnāt much benefit for local small businesses. I get that big businesses provide the most advertising dollars for the platform, and I think itās better to support conservative big businesses over woke corporationsā¦
but better still is supporting small businesses that are the lifeblood of the American dream and traditional western family structures.
Love love love! Thank you for standing up for American values!!! Love it so much!
I was hoping for an alternative to amazon, where o could search for what I want to buy and get a list of all the items available through your retailers. The categories are broad and I spend a lot of time going to the websites to see if they have what I am looking for. Itās too time consuming. I like the idea but the execution needs work.
Letās put our country and American businesses first!
Hi! Love the app and the vision behind it. I am having issues with adding pictures to my business page. I am not able to click ānextā.
When I search my area nothing comes up. Iām so disappointed since I donāt want yo support woke businesses. I definitely prefer businesses with conservative values
Thank you for looking for alternatives to how we spend our money! Keep up the good work!šš¾šš¾šš¾šš¾
Hello. I am a hairstylist and I was recommended this app because of your values and was so stoked to see a community of people who we can support each others businesses. I am conservative and definitely love the idea here. But I go to add my business and realized it was about a week later I still didnāt see a response to my request. So I reached out to you all. I was sent this message.
āWe appreciate you supporting our mission as a company, however we have found that our values are not fully aligned with the company you represent. We cannot allow you to list your business on our platform at this time. Thank you for your understanding!ā
So in this message it doesnāt tell me what I said or did to not have āfully aligned valuesā. I want to know why. I have been waiting for a response and I truthfully am shocked I got rejected. I donāt understand how me working for my self in American and being married and selling my service in American is not the goal here? What is it that I could have done or said in my application that isnāt apart of that? Please explain so I can enjoy your app. I hate to even complain or say this but I really love the concept.
I think the only thing that bothers me is the search feature. I donāt want to search for brands I want to search for items. I was trying to search for American made jeans but I couldnāt search for jeans I had to look at menās clothing then click on every brand till I found one that sells jeans.
Why am I being forced to create an account to see what you have to offer. Seems a little crazy to me also hope u offer apple pay at check out once i hear your reasoning for this mandatory account. I could see if buying hut just to look
This reminds me of a phone bookās yellow pages. I would like to ditch Amazon, but this isnāt even close.
Why do I need to sign up for an account just to view whatās for sale? The web version is really primitive. I want to see products, not fox, oan or whatever network that your company appears on. Feels like some web devs trying to show off their skills and not an e-commerce site trying to sell products, so Amazon and Walmart still get my money.
This app is awesome! If your looking to shop good quality items and most importantly companies that line up with your values⦠this is it!!!
Thanks for providing this. So many of my friends, and I, canāt keep track of which businesses are anathema to our values, but at least we have a place to start looking for what we need when we have a need before slinking i to the commie hellholes.
I cannot use this app unless I āsign upā. And give you my email. Iām not looking for another social media. And I donāt see why youād need my email to look for conservative businesses. Other business apps I use donāt need my email. Iām not doing business with you. I just want to see where our conservative businesses are.
Please make it so we donāt need to sign up.
Iām out until that happens.
I love and appreciate the fact that American patriots now have a place to shop. The local option is amazing as well. There are still a few glitches in the data, but there is a place where you can report them. So happy to have heard of this app on Fox News! ā¤ļøšŗšø
I have been an Amazon user for many years. I would like to consider using Public Square but I have concerns over the type of data that is collected by the app in the age of personal information security why does Public Square need to collect so much data from its users? For me that is a significant deterrent to using this app
This app has great potential, but itād be nice if each business in a category included a short summary about what they are/provide without the need to open the individual business listing.
PublicSQ would like to send you notifications The app does not have notifications permission turned on.
Itās not an app, just a weird chat bot.
I only ever downloaded the app. Never opened it, nor registered for anything, and yet somehow this company got my contact info and began sending me emails asking me to verify my account/email. What account? I never registered anything! I didnāt even open the app once since downloading. And since clicking on the email sent to unsubscribe from their mailings (which I obviously never signed up for), I have begun receiving bogus texts and emails to my Apple ID linked phone number and email (which I am careful to NEVER give outāhave protected it for 15 years of the App Storeās existence). I highly recommend that you do not download this app, if you value privacy and account security.
Iām hoping this will eventually also have private sales. If this can happen I am off of Facebook forever!!!
I absolutely love this app! Could have been the best thing that has come from the āpandemicā .. I love shopping small biz with people who align with my values and morals. Iāve shopped One God clothing brand and an adorable baby boutique for a friends baby shower so far and the interaction with the stores were phenomenal . I will continue to look here first for shopping and services from now on!
While I absolutely LOVE knowing there are freedom-loving brands out there, I really wish this platform made it easier to shop. Iām always short on time and need to find specific things fast. I do not have the time to go through each brand to find what Iām looking for. I hate Amazon and the other big platforms, but they do make it easier and show multiple brands for the specific item Iām searching for. PLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEE find a way for this to happen.
Not a good experience as a small business owner. Lack of right-up-front transparency about e-commerce sites that can be linked to PS, as platforms like Etsy and Zazzle are not approved by the company. (I tried to sign up a month ago, so maybe this has been addressed now). I wasted a lot of time because I was unaware of this fact until I was on the phone with a rep, as Iād intended to purchase a marketing package.
But PS isnāt hurting those platforms by not supporting businesses that use them. Itās hurting small biz owners like me who have parts of their business on them for lack of other options.
So fed up with hopium being doled out to patriots ācome HERE and do THIS and be around like minded-folks. All the big names have endorsed us. Itāll be great. Just what youāve been waiting for. A haven in the madness of the world. Oh, wait. You canāt have your biz here because the platform you use doesnāt āalign with our company values. Create another siteā in your spare time on another platform we approve of.
Yeah, no.
Feels great to finally be able to support business that have the same values as me!
- UI is sluggish
- No Review system for business
- Missing social network aspect
- Should consider implementing store front like shopify and gofundme.

Mercari is a buying and selling app that is easier to navigate than eBay or Poshmark. The fees are too high and sellers have to wait for buyers to rate them before getting paid. The search function is not effective and the app crashes frequently. The removal of the local tab was a disappointment, and some find the app user-unfriendly. However, sellers can make a good profit from the app and customer service resolves issues quickly.
