  • Great idea, execution needs work

    I like the idea of this and the smell of the lip balm is fantastic. I like both the floss and the gloss but the container is something that you have to get used to. When I opened the gloss end of the container, the gloss fell out onto my counter so I had to clean it up and put it back in. The floss is thick and works very well but it's pretty tight on my lower, crowded teeth. If the container was a little easier and the floss just a *tad* thinner this would be something that would be perfect for travel, however as it is now, I find myself just leaving it in the bathroom rather than my purse.

  • Good idea but floss doesn't dispense.

    Thought this was a great combo. I installed the 2 rolls of floss but it will not unwind and pull oh of the tube. I have to take off the cap and cut off a piece. That's okay at home but not convenient on the go. I do like the lip gloss though. So it is a larger gloss than what I would carry since floss doesn't pull out.

  • Disappointed

    Thought it was gonna be a good product. By the looks of the bottle was accepting something nice. When I opened the bottle it was a small chapstick. The chapstick bottle is big and when you open it it’s a small chapstick. Barely has a smell. And the floss you have to put it inside and it’ll come out from the top which is kinda lame and has no purpose. The floss is not the best either. Expected something good but wasn’t satisfied.

    Great concept. It’s great to have lip balm and dental floss in one place. Good for travel or office. I’m not a fan of the dental floss though. It is too thick for me and the texture makes my skin crawl. it you might like it.

  • A great idea, but not a perfect fit for me

    My first impressions of this were negative, and I didn't look forward to writing a review, since writing negative ones makes me feel bad. I didn't know what color case I would get ("Energy" is in a black case, for anyone who may wonder). The floss was very thick and coming apart (see attached photo). The lip gloss arrived detached from the base. And as someone with allergies, I was disappointed to see that there weren't any ingredients listed for either item.

    Thankfully, as I have used the set, my experience has been a little more positive. For whatever reason, the lip gloss affixed itself back into the case, and is staying put better for now. The floss does expand, but it's actually supposed to. Though, this has been a little hard for me to get used to, because my teeth are close together. The floss starts not just expanding, but splitting and coming apart because of how close my teeth are, and I don't want to get the fibers stuck between my teeth. The floss is also hard to pull out from the dispenser.

    I feel like it's a fun, unique, and useful concept that could be better. Some tweaks would make me like it even more, like floss that doesn't fall apart quite as easily, ingredients being listed, and the lip balm being affixed in better. It's not a bad product, and the floss might work better for people whose teeth aren't crowded. So while it's only three stars for me, it might be better for those with less tight teeth, no allergies to worry about, etc.

  • Great Floss, Poorly designed Container

    The Lewie Floss & Gloss came well packaged in a box. I like the basic concept of Floss & Gloss, but I think it would have been a better product if it were just the floss. You open the top and stack the 2 spools of floss inside then thread the top spool of string through a hole in the cap. It has a "floss trimmer", a slot for cutting. The floss is thick and does a great job removing debris from teeth. It has more of a string texture that effectively cleans. It came in handy after I ate a bowl of popcorn. I think it actually works better than my regular coated floss.

    However, the bottom part that holds the gloss is a failure. I tried to open it and out dropped the gloss on my table. I tried to put it back in and it made a mess. It does not fit snugly in the container. It's loose and tricky to get out after you unscrew the cap. The gloss itself is fine. On their website, it states "Our luxurious lip balm is a blend of organic oils, shea butter, and beeswax complemented by herbal extracts, including vanilla, peppermint, lavender, grapefruit, citrus". I like the chapstick-like texture and it smells pretty good, but the flimsy applicator is a pain to move in and out of the container. It's totally impractical and I think unnecessary.

    Overall, it's a good floss but the packaging leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure where it's made. No info on website or box.

  • Cool concept and the floss works great

    My wife wrote this review:

    This is such a cool concept - floss and lip balm in one container. I like it!

    The lip balm is nice and glides on fairly smooth. No bad taste. It's not chalky or waxy.

    The floss is somewhat thick and it reminds me of yarn. I was not really thinking I would like the floss once I saw what it was. Once I finally got it threaded through the little hole (this took some time and was a bit frustrating), I tried it out and I actually really like it! It goes between my teeth with ease, which I didn't expect, and it didn't hurt my gums because of how soft it is. It worked extremely well and cleaning between my teeth.

    This is perfect for my handbag and would be perfect for a desk drawer too!

    I'm surprisingly impressed!

  • Great idea, floss is a little shreddy for tight teeth

    This is a combination lip gloss/balm and dental floss. It’s really handy. As someone who flosses all the time I appreciate the convenience. The floss is charcoal grey. I like it but it definitely shreds between my tight teeth. The lip is moisturizing and soothing.

    It’s very portable for pocket or purse.

  • Needs work

    I like the idea of this product, but it needs work. The container does not function properly. The chapstick just falls out the bottom. It doesn’t lock into place. So it fell on the floor luckily at home, if it would have happened outside I would have to toss it.

    The chapstick has no flavor. It’s like plain Vaseline. It has the scent of lavender. Reminds me of the fancy flavored waters, smell good taste like nothing.

    The floss is very thick. So if you have close teeth the floss will just shred and get stuck.

    If I could use my own floss and chapstick this would be excellent. Maybe the manufacturer could design a universal case that facilitates that.
