  • SO SMALL!

The people making this obviously don’t have any kids of their own. The board and pieces are so small they’re choking hazard and are very difficult for kids to use.

  • Great concept, but def room for improvement

I bought them game to use with my ASD child for emotion regulation skills. The game board looks crowded- could use a bigger board with bigger squares. Some scenario cards are off the mark. A card said the kid was angry because he said his dog ate his homework and the teacher didn’t believe him?? Another said the kid was mad because his shoe has a hole and his classmate badmouthed him that he’s poor. I mean, having a hole in the shoe is enough for an ASD kid to melt down, the added shame just complicates things. Yet another said his dad embarrassed him in front of his friends….after I go through the deck of scenario cards and pick out the ones I wouldn’t use, there’s about half of it left. We can still play the game, but definitely can use better cards

  • Great game for therapy with kids and their parents

This is an easy game, fashioned after Chutes and Ladders. I was afraid it would seem too young for some of my 8-11 year old clients but they really engage well with it. It provides opportunities to help them think and talk about emotions and what situations might provoke certain emotions. Have also used along with a parent and it can provide an opportunity to facilitate communication around difficult situations. Highly recommend!

  • Missing Items

This was missing items and honestly there was very little to it. I wish they had allowed to the child to make a choice rather than a cheaply made overpriced version of chutes and ladders that is missing game pieces.

    • Great for school psychologists

I use this game for anger management in counseling sessions with my students and they love it! It's a great game to practice using "I" statements, increasing emotional vocabulary, talking about coping strategies, and helping kids learn that they are not alone in what they feel. 10/10 recommend to all mental health professionals who work with elementary age children.

    • Great for Dysregulated Students!

Excited to use with my students who need assistance in self-regulation. Seems great for upper elementary (who can read) and even teens. My husband and I played it tonight and loved the real-life examples provided in the Chaos cards deck. Love that there is also a non-competive game play option included. Heads up- there is a typo in the emotional term glossary with "ignored".

Game came with wrong set of cards- two set of chaos cards when should have had one chai’s cards and one coping skill cards.

    • So helpful to start conversations about emotions with little kids

Started some great conversations about feelings with 5 and 7 yos

Edited to update. on third time we got this out to play my kiddo accidentally tore the playing board in two while unfolding it. It could be better quality... but still very happy with the conversations this game has started.

I got this to help my kids with their emotions and was very excited to play this. It was missing the six game pieces and two dice, though. Very unhappy since those are essential pieces to play.

Great game to play with a child with a difficult time with emotional control. My daughter has emotional difficulties and can cry over little things. Very educational for both children and parents.

    • Great Game for Learning!

My students actually LOVE playing this game, but 30 minutes a pop isn't long enough for a group of 4-6. We could play it for hours. We have never actually gotten to the end, or even past the middle of the board, so we are getting to know the bottom of the board emotions pretty well. At least they love playing and discussing! Even those students who are still learning to read are finding the game fun to play. The glossary could use a bit of work, but overall? Definitely a great purchase.

    • Great Product

My son and I have played this twice and the first time, he really opened up and we discuss how to handle the emotions. I really love it. This game board opened better communication for my son & I and he loves the game aspect (similar to Chutes and Ladders). Highly recommended!!!

My little one was sad after setting everything up to play, one of the dice are missing from the packet!? I can’t seem to find replacement dice online!? Unfortunate purchase.

    • Can trigger child's emotions if they have ASD

I disliked that my game says it came with 2 diced but I only had one especially for the price. The picture of the game is a little misleading as it looks long but the box it smaller than a sheet of paper. Overall I enjoyed the concept of the game.

    • Some thoughts on the game...

This is a high quality game with great intentions. I play it with kids one on one to work on improving their coping skills. However, I find that the game is often over in less than 10 minutes. This is not long enough for the kid to have collected any coping cards to practice developing coping skills. Sometimes a player can breeze through the game without landing on any spaces requiring them to collect any of the cards or sliding down to a lower position, which would extend game play. We haven't tried the Map It Out way to play because the kids want to use the game board, but maybe that's what we'll need to do.

    • Very Enlightening

We played this with our 9 year old and 4 year old. Obviously we had to dumb it down a bit more for the 4 year old, but it helped my oldest understand some of what he was feeling and express it in words rather than actions. We had some great talks from it.

Played this game with my son who has anger issues and it was actually very fun! He talked about feelings and ways to cope without getting angry so it was a win win. He did beat me both times and came up with scenarios him self! This is a great game to play!

    • Didn’t disappoint

Was unsure if my 7 and 8 year old sons would stay engaged with this game, but they love it! It’s a game yes, but you have to talk about different emotions throughout the game board. We play it often.

    • Lots of fun

I am a behavioral health therapist and this is a game that kids request the most. It is one of my favorites as well. I am finding that the board is getting a little bit flimsy, so I have to be gentle when folding and putting it away. Worth it!

    • So Helpful!

My 5 year old is struggling with communicating and understanding his emotions. I have played this game once so far with my 7, 5, and 3.5 year old kids. Each one of them was able to easily describe a time when they felt the emotion of the space they landed on. I was surprised at their ability! I am super excited to continue this game and see how it helps us ALL improve our self-awareness. Amazing game!
