Prime and Amazon Apps: A Flawless and Satisfying Entertainment Experience

The App is ok, but not more than that. From a big cooperation like Amazon I would expect more. The subtitles sometimes out of sync, it doesn't always "remember" the last spot I stopped watching, the IMDB info is annoying and can't be removed, and the desktop version has commercials!

Not bad jus not alot i dont like to watch on it.

Watching something on the app on my TV and fell asleep. Woke up a few hours later and switched off the app. My 68" TV's screen has the prime menu burned into it. It's very frustrating trying to watch it now as I feel my vision is failing me when that is most definitely not the case. I've used Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, Peacock, etc. for many years and never had any issues with my TVs. I know for a fact it was prime, the menu lines up with the burn and I noticed it the day after happening

Updated from 2020. Still pretty good. Some minor issues here and there with the UI and at times, screen mirror or Chromecast might not work with older TVs.

LOVE AMAZON PRIME VIDEO!!!

Prime video blacks out a lot. It also kicks itself out of a movie you are watching for no reason and goes to the main tv screen. It only works properly when the movie is downloaded so you can only watch movies that you can download. If they fix it I will update my review.

Selection is so so, that is of course a matter of taste. Subtitles though are most often only available in english, and quite often pretty bad or broken.

It's pretty good except there's a huge amount of films that you can't watch but they is alot of options you can watch if you have student membership. Student membership is 5 pound a mouth it's not all bad that people say it is. They just need to include alot more films or movies to the student membership.

Now on amazon many shows are unavailable for your region and most of movies and shows are for rent only. And also all are sensored so there is no meaning of ott. Disappointed I'll not extend my subscription further.

Technically it is costlier than than every other ott platform because mostly movies what I want to see either I have to rent it or with some other app which I have to pay for it!! Hotstar Netflix and every other ott platform are far far better than this app...Lost all the interest from Amazon Prime... Tried the one month free trial but found the available 'free' content fairly underwhelming. The app suffered from terrible buffering, drop outs and restarts, and poor navigation and search functions. These technical problems were the deal breaker since my other streaming apps were working ok at the time. It did seem that many of the Prime catalogue movie titles were already available via Stan in Australia, so another point against paying for Prime we as well.

App was working fine for first week but after that it shows black screen in videos but audio was still going on. So, i connected to customer service and they told me to disable hardware acceleration option in settings.Now i can see video but in 360p quality like what's point of buying memberships if we can't watch content in quality and customer service agent told that there's nothing we can do this..... bad experience:(

Day by day, the buffering is getting longer and the video goes blank at times. Only voice and subtitles are coming. This stops only if I uninstall the app and download it again. Please work on this bug.

Amazon has gotten too greedy, I know it's not a surprise but that's the reason for 1 star. Having to pay extra on top on prime for anything good and not even being able to download those extra paid for shows is a big middle finger to me. I am also disappointed to find out about an extremely small download limit. I try to watch shows while I work remotely but Amazon makes it very difficult.

Pathetic audio quality of movies and series. No matter how many users have been complaining about audio quality, amazon is not caring it at all. I have ~100mbps broadband speed. Tried on multiple mobile and monitor, laptops. But nowhere audio is loud. I won't renew prime next time. What the use I have to read a series/movie by enabling captions. I would rather go to youtube and listen summary of it. Youtube has 10times louder audio than prime.

Rarely plays video complaining about Internet or giving error messages like this Video unavailable Error code: TDS_ERROR Or Video unavailable Parental controls are enabled on your Fire tablet. You must also set up Prime Video viewing restrictions or disable parental controls on your Fire tablet. If I uninstall and reinstall app works again, clearing app data is somehow not enough.

Getting better...still throttles at peak hours. (That was 2021...) Yay for that😑 ... 2023 and same.

Good streaming service. But I often get important problems with subtitles being out of sync. This is why I removed 2 points.(Mostly a Chromecast user, with the app installed directly on Chromecast).

I'm paying for prime but can't log into the app on both my phones and they are both newer phones I've tried to Uninstall and re install and nothing even did the whole clear data and still didn't work gave me error code of 1004-ld but I took it off wifi and still hasn't worked even restarted both my phones idk why it works on all my other devices like my tablet old phones but not my new phones might end up canceling since I can't use it

I started watching a TV Show on Prime📱Video @ #Expo2020Dubai as a UAE member, then my Alexa device was stolen upon I returning to USA in LA,CA. I could still finish this show on my new Alexa device as it was saved to my account. I highly recommend this app, it has excellent features invaluable for international entertainment, high quality streaming with included,💳rent or buy options & account🔒security unmatched by other apps!

If I pause what I'm watching and replay it when I get back, the audio continues but the video stays frozen. If I exit the player to restart the episode/movie. It closes the whole app, reopens it and chooses a random episode to start playing. App is up to date, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling along with restarting my phone. The same thing happens with Amazon Music when I'm listening to podcasts.

Acceptable, missing categorization filters Among others. Filter options too limiting for finding what one prefers. I myself like to look for prime comedy, I currently have no options to exclude thrillers and horror for example. I would also prefer to combine comedy with family movies as well as other variations like adventure films. 4K Chromecast with ethernet, watched content in FHD.

Pathetic. The navigation and menu are too complex to keep you from signing out. Managing devices is a nightmare and has bugs. I formatted my iPad and then again downloaded the app but now I cannot watch prime because it counts that as another device and I have tried deleting old devices from prime app but it still isn't letting me watch prime on the same formatted iPad. This new algorithm of Amazon to limit devices is full of bugs and it's just unusable. I am cancelling any further subscription

On my X mobile phone, this app worked great. I enjoyed it quite a lot, and it was easy to comprehend and watch movies at all hours. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in using said service. I had no issues on my cellular phone at all. Constantly crashes. I normally download song with my subscription for offline listening because I work in an area with no Internet. However, the app tries unsuccessfully connect to the Internet so I can listen offline? Amazon does not understand the meaning of offline. At that point I have to delete the app and data and reinstall. I will be cancelling my subscription.

This app came with the phone. I don't use Amazon but I am afraid to uninstall.

The app is always clueless as to where i am at in the serie. I have to manually select what episode to watch or it will show me an already watched one twice or skip one i haven't seen. Incredibly bad app considering the competition.

I love Amazon Prime, but the reason for the 1 star is because, we are already charged a monthly subscription. AP puts some of your favorite shows to watch for free for awhile, then turns around and tries to charge you for each episode (so that you can continue to watch). I find it annoying and pathetic! Amazon Prime is trying to get over on people, and rob us of our money. I'm sorry, but, that isn't right.

Worst customer service not able to resolve issue they only tried to loot your pocket and after some time u do'nt able to login into your account . In my suggrstion do'nt take subscription

Video replay has been broken for the last month or so. Audio plays uninterrupted but the video never moves. I've updated my app, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared my cache, restarted my phone, I've done everything I can. I can't get anything to play for more than a second or two before it glitches and the picture stops moving, even if I download what I'm trying to watch.

You need to pay 2x to watch with this app. Don't subscribe to this application. It will be a waste of money and time.

Sound and britness option not available while watching video

I'm New to Cord cutting like six months? Just a month ago Amazon had 4k Max Stick got two for around 52 dollars My 85" Sony has this app but decided to get one for it anyways so much better it makes this TV Pop! The picture is just mind blowing I'm kinda a TV nut so I won't get technical. Right out of the box perfect ( almost ) I need little more time to play with it and will give a better review this is also amazing on My other TV 75" Sharp it's about 10 years old and just awesome thank you 👍

Amazon prime video has better quality viewing of Cinemas & TV shows with much precision of entertainment. I viewed through my mobile app & through my Google TV . I got lot of satisfaction in time passing, when I am alone at home.

I own a pixel 7 pro and everytime I try to watch something through the prime video app it just doesn't let me to use the whole screen .. idk what the problem is but it seems like a developer issue that on maybe pixel devices it doesn't let you to use the whole screen.. never an issue with the other streaming apps but just this one ! I use an adroid system and this app works perfectly for me. User friendly, saves my episodes consistantly without having to go back in and find it like some other streaming apps.
