The reviews for 'The Year of Cozy' reflect a mixed reception. Many praise its beautiful photography and the blend of recipes, crafts, and activities, making it an appealing coffee table book. However, some critics find the crafts to be uninspired or impractical, with mentions of alcohol-related projects that detract from a cozy theme. While some users enjoyed gifting the book and found it suitable for relaxing projects during lockdowns, others felt disappointed by the lack of usable items. Overall, the book seems to best suit those looking for cozy inspiration, though opinions on its content vary significantly.

Bought for a birthday gift for my mom and she loves it! Lots of unique recipies!
First of there are beautiful color photos in this book, I liked that.
A lot of "Recipes" and "crafts" that involve beer and drinking. Sorry there is nothing cozy or cute, inspiring or uplifting about poisoning yourself, let alone promoting it. Especially if she is a blogger and influencer.
Lots of dog and pet crafts.
Items needed are somewhat expensive and on the wasteful side.
One craft she wants you to hot glue rose quartz to a glass mirror to make a tray then she puts alcoholic drinks on it. Please do not hot glue rock, mineral, or crystal specimens. Enjoy them and you can still place them around a tray or mirror and then change them out when you feel like it.
All of these "crafts" that people do out of this book are going to end up falling apart and on a goodwill/thrift store shelf. Just don't.
The better activities in this book include hiking and foraging. Those are actually uplifting and free. And while you are doing those look for some pretty shells or rocks that you can take home to decorate with. I place mine in flower pots and succulent pots to give the soil some color. This way you are not spending money on rose quartz just to glue it to something that will not hold it for very long.
Skip this one. Save yourself time and money.
I love the mixture of activities, crafts, recipes and more. Great for people who love coziness
So many cute lady-like ideas fully explained and enchantingly presented! Photos are wonderful, and ideas are arranged by season. GREAT gift idea for someone who may have some free time to try new recipes or simple crafts or projects. Perfect covid lockdown projects that make the reader feel hopeful and productive.
Buy SEVERAL to give as gifts- but don’t forget to keep one for yourself!
The book itself is beautiful. The recipes are not “cozy” and the crafts are not cute.
The book itself is beautiful to look at- the photographs are so appealing! But I was rather disappointed in the crafts. They seemed rather cheap looking and made things that I honestly could never see myself using or wearing. I’m excited to try the recipes. Overall a good purchase. The book came with library stickers and stamps on it- which wasn’t included in the description
