Petshop.co.uk: Great Value, Fast Delivery, and Excellent Service

Decided to buy my dog's food in bulk and found Petshop who had competitive prices. Ordering was very easy and delivery was quick, so very happy and will use again.

Bought food for our diabetic dog and everything from online ordering to price to speed of delivery were spot on , would definitely recommend.

I have a regular monthly order, which is not cheap. I received the wrong product and emailed the service team a month ago. Still no response from them. Not very good customer service should not take 4 weeks to respond to an email.

Great service I’m on the empty bowl (repeat order) service. I accidentally ordered my pet food 6 times and the customer service team were amazing. They spotted my mistake cancelled my 5 other orders all within 45 mins of my error. They were very polite and I received our dog food within 48 hours. Amazing service and great customer service. We’ve been let down before by other competitors and had to dash to shops otherwise our dogs would have had no dinner! This may be a start up company but at these great prices and customer service were more than happy to support them.

When my husband passed away a few months ago I asked if they could add some notes to the delivery instructions so it was left in front of the garage door, which would make it easier for me to get it inside. I'm still waiting, I ring them every time I have a delivery and every time they tell me the same and nothing gets done. Now looking for a new supplier 🤬

Delivery response is consistently amazing and the price would be difficult to beat. Also there is always a friendly and helpful voice on the telephone if you need advice. The only negative this time was that three of the five 15kg bags of dog food were damaged before they were shipped to me and I feel that should be investigated to see if that happened pre or post delivery to Petshop storage. I don’t think that forwarding them in a damaged condition, with the kibble exposed, is good for the food or good for business and I feel certain that the proprietors would want to know. Had I bought from a store I would have rejected the damaged bags but having said that, this is the first time it has happened and it won’t deter me from reordering, due to the excellent service.

Excellent quick service. Just received my first order of Harrington's just 6 Salmon dog food. I saw them on their website but decided to order on the phone. It was very reassuring to speak to their very pleasant and helpful assistant. I will definitely be using them again.. WELL DONE.

We have a large GSD with a sensitive stomach, bing able to have auto reorder with prompt delivery and the ability to adjust the dates makes looking after him so much easier, good prices and excellent service.

I had issues with this company from the point of ordering. Order didn't arrive when it said it would. After as peaking to customer services they told me DHL had lost my parcel so would get my order out again. Was impressed with this. However I received two boxes from DHL. I orders 14 X Dechra cat food wet trays. Between the two boxes there was only 11. No one got in touch to tell me I was missing three until I called. Was told they were on a back order. So was happy to wait. No communication so asked them to refund the three boxes. Was told it was processed. However it was not. After numerous calls and emails which were ignored I was told that the person on the phone had just processed the refund! Not great being lied to. Plus it took an sgd to get the actual refund! Further problem with order. My cat have had diarrhea. Did not know what had caused this as nothing had changed until I opened a tray and saw what I believe to be maggots and eggs inside. Opened several more to see the same. Contacted Dechra who told me the retailer needs to collect the trays and either refund/credit or replace whilst this is investigated. Called petshop.co.uk who tell me she's processed a refund for one pack. I ask what is happening with the other 10 boxes and she told me to open them all. What a ridiculous thing to say. Open 70 trays to check them all. I forwarded the email from dechra to her asking that they should collect items as per dechras email. She insisted I open every tray. I told her I would not do this. She put me on hold to come back saying she'd arrange for Yodel to collect tomorrow. I'm yet to receive any correspondence that Yodel are coming tomorrow. I'll change my review if this of course materialises and I receive a full refund. If not my review will remain and I'll dispute this through my credit card company/trading standards. But from start to finish it's been a bad experience. Customer services simply do not follow through.

Placed order on Monday 11th of September and it’s not even dispatched! It’s 18th of September already! No one replying to any emails or messages! Money already deducted from my bank account. Yodel tracking nr was created this evening but it’s not valid yet means parcel still not despatched. Zero communication what’s going with my order and why it’s not despatched since 11th of September! First and last order, time wasters!

This company really isn't great. Their website is slow, their bottomless bowls really doesn't save you money. I've complained multiple times about the excessive amount of impulse deals that they show you before you purchase your stuff and they just haven't done anything about it. Very poor company.You will notice you can find all food on their site cheaper elsewhere even without their bottomless bowl subscription discounts. Feels a bit scammy. And their customer service is pretty awful too.

Parcel shipped earlier than expected and arrived in good shape. Shame about the courier though, took them almost 4 days (and 3 attempts ) to get it to us. But top marks to the Pet Shop.

Have been buying my pet food for years as always good service and better price than shops

I have been using Petshop for some time now, the pricese are very competative and the delivery uaully very prompt. I waited longer than usual for 2 recent orders, but I have to praise the excellent customer service provided by Jenny Manders, who personally made sure my orders were dispatched and kept me informed and up to date. Jenny is a great ambassador for your business.

The dog food arrived on time and was well packaged to ensure there were no spillages during delivery. As I am on the auto order. I didn’t even need to make the order as it is sent out regularly each month.

Ordered my dry dog food as usual on Monday 4th - delivery advised for Friday 8th. I chased this up as it didn't arrive as was advised it would be sent immediately to the warehouse for Express delivery on Monday 11th - so in 4 days nothing had happened with my order. Delivery did not happen on the 11th and tracking advised it was still with the Sender. I phoned again to be advised that the carrier would have to be contacted. I ordered my dog food in plenty of time before i ran out so now i am having to give my dogs the wet food that i would normally only use a quarter of each feed, therefore instead of using 1 tray i now have to use 3 which gets expensive. I must also add that customer service agent Zoe has a terrible attitude towards customers - rule no.1 in customer service is never speak down to customers and use the phrase 'like i said' and what you might think is a silly question could be an important one to the customer - this enables the customer to have options. Bottomless bowls are now cancelled and my business will go to Jolley's.

This is the second review I’ve made about PetShop in the past week. It’s to do with the same order. They originally refunded me the cost of everything, as one of my items was out of stock. They then sent out my other item without charging me first, as asking me if I still wanted it. They then charged me. A few days later, I got an email explaining what they’d done, even though I’d already put two and two together. The item finally came, nearly two weeks after the original order was made. It was damaged. I’ve contacted them. Still no reply. The customer service is appalling, and let’s this website down tremendously.

We hate companies that suddenly charge you extra delivery to N Scotland when you go to check out.This company say free delivery until you mention where you live then charge £5.99 delivery 10 days later.The shipping estimate on their website even said delivery would be £0, with our postcode.Very very very few companies charge extra for delivery to this area and none of them get our business, especially if they have said delivery is free.Thanks found it somewhere else cheaper.

Came across PetShop and decided to give them a try.I ordered the items that we thought our two cats would like to try. Delivery was made within a couple of days. I am currently trying to cancel a repeat order of dog food , I have had two repeat orders already which were great but I do not need anymore at the moment. The money has been taken out of my bank even though it says on the website that I have no orders or bottomless bowl orders ! I would not use this company again. A week after I ordered, I chased to find out where my order was just to be told, “sorry the items are not available, would you like an alternative”?. I am not sure why it would take a week to be told of this. I wonder how long it is going to take to get my money back!Unfortunately this is not the first time this happened. I have had to chase a previous order before. I for one will not be using this company again.

Good delivery times I have 2 boxes of grain free sensitive wet dog food delivered which has gone up considerably in the supermarkets .Obviously you have to pay a delivery fee but it saves me having to lugg it from the shops. My only concern on the odd occasion is the trays can arrive damaged and leak their contents.

Used twice now and twice was perfect service ‘ we ordered a 15kg bag of small bite mixer and both times was delivered on time and shrink wrapped for security’ five stars in my eyes for this company.We also have two African Grey Parrots but they don’t do Parrot food or toys but maybe in the future this will change .

We’ve always used Skinners for our two labs. Found this website accidentally several years ago when looking for something else. Immediately set up the ‘bottomless bowl’ service (get two 12kg bags arrive together) which is much easier than having to get a bag at a time from the nearest pet shop, plus it’s so much cheaper. So it’s a win win all round.

The delivery is very slow and unreliable. I order from Zooplus as well and they arrive the next day! Yours can take almost a week and the packaging is not always in good condition when it arrives.

We have received shipments from petshop.co.uk since October, 2019. We were notified that a delivery was due in 5 days and again when it was dispatched. It arrived 2 days later. The bag of food was wrapped in a strong outer wrapper - perfect service. The next bag will be dispatched automatically in 6 weeks time. You can adjust delivery dates online if you wish. Great service.

Have bought from these guys before when they used DPD and the service was great. I ordered some food and dog toys early on Friday morning, marked 'get by tomorrow' so I thought great, standards havent dropped, filled my basket and paid. Saturday morning I got a delivery tracking number from......... wait for it......... YODEL! One of the worst companies to deliver. The next day deliver didnt happen, nothing arrived til late on the Monday aftrernoon! One of the toys was a red rubber spacehopper type squeeky toy for dogs, it was absolutely filthy and black, the black had come off and marked the other toys. i had to put it through the dishwasher, and the soft toys through the washing machine. NOT IDEAL. This company have gone downhill sadly, won't be shopping there again .

Following on from my previous reply and subsequent answer received. Not everything is answered and I am still short 240 pouches of cat food. With that in mind my comments stand. Any business is about communication. It’s interesting you ask for my advice on how things could be improved then post tgat in your response ignoring my statement that I am still short on my order. It really is a poor show when you choose to recycle customer responses into your review responses thinking it will make you appear a company of value when this is far from the case. I will however admit you claim to have refunded the next day delivery fee but this is yet to appearYou are not I believe a new company so why would it rake that long to implement a customer service policy. It should have been in place from the start if not within a couple of weeks at least. I remain dissatisfied with you as a company and with your blatant plagiarism

James Wellbeloved packaging The 2 bags of james wellbeloved came when expected but the packaging was stuck to the bags and had to be pulled off, making holes in both bags. This has never happened before.

Do not deliver on time !!! Am I the only one who has issues with Petshop? I ordered off them last Autumn and should have learnt my lesson. I placed order this week and paid for next day delivery and again they have failed to deliver. I rang through to call center and by the sounds the order was not even out to be delivered. Call center did not seem to care and offered me my next day delivery charge back. BIG DEAL ! The whole idea of online ordering should be uncomplicated. Good value for money. Order process is easy and choice of product is extensive. My only gripe (and it's a small one), it that the products always arrive with some outer box damage. Generally, the contents are unaffected but one of the tins I picked yesterday had a couple of dents. I think there may need to be more a little more care between order processing and picking/packing. That said, overall the pros outweigh the cons and if I could give half stars would be inclined to rate it 4.5/5.

Really good delivery and helpful customer service staff

After using Amazon subscribe and save for my 4 dogs food for quite a few years now I got fed up with it either being out of stock or Amazon deciding to use a more expensive seller without informing me, I decided enough was enough and looked for an alternative pet food provider. I was thrilled to find pet shop and even more thrilled that as they were local to me I could collect my order direct from them, which was even more convenient for me and they offer a “bottomless bowl” option which offered even better discount than Amazon did! To top it all, I ordered on the Thursday to collect on the Monday which was more than adequate, but to my surprise and delight they send me an email the following day to say my order was ready to collect! Amazing service and excellent all round - I can’t recommend highly enough 😊

Whatever has happened to this company. Questions re products not answered. I am locked into the bottomless bowl system. Cant delete orders or the bottomless bowl order . Just tried amending and the sustenance rapaciously seized a saved amendment and I am forced to pay well over the price for an item I was trying to cancel.Phones not answered. I have emailed termination of my account and will be notifying my bank to stop all future payments.This is such a shame. It sounded like a good start up initially but the ethos has clearly changed.No more Petshop for me!

Unfortunately, despite having the bottomless bowl subscription, it is often the case that when my bottomless bowl order is due, the items in it are out of stock, The other issue is that despite many complaints about finding the foods pouches in their flimsy boxes packed in with heavy bags of 10kg litter and arriving squashed up and occasionally burst, this still happens. Today I received a box of Advantage flea treatments packed in with the 10kg cat litter and again this was squashed up, luckily the little flea treatment tubes look OK.But when placing the order I had written a note asking for the flea treatment box and the can for treating the house to be given extra care (bubble wrap ?) but it didn't happen and it was just all shoved in the big box together. it's good to be green and wanting to use less packaging but some common sense also has to be used when packing small fragile items in with the equivalent of a bag of concrete, in the end it's the customer who finds their cat food damaged / leaking in the parcel.... Anyway, apart from that it's a decent enough company.

We have used this Company for our Dog Foods for the past 3 years and have never experienced any significant problems. Always found them polite friendly and a pleasure to do business with. Had a slight packaging issue with our recent order, but when we contacted PetShop they quickly resolved the issue without any fuss. We thoroughly recommend them to all like minded Pet Lovers.

Absolutely useless customer service! Ordered via Amazon sellers market, the sent me another persons order of Orijen raw chicken food when I ordered Autarky fish and potato due to my bulldogs having poultry allergies. They are taking 25-30ish hours to reply to each message when I reply literally straight away to theirs. Both myself and Amazon have requested the collect the mispicked item and refund the original order as I’ve now had to go and purchase food from elsewhere due to their mistake. I’ve had a reply today after both mine and amazons request to say they’ve dispatched a replacement bag of food… no words!

First time using this company and very pleased with the service and products ordered. They accidentally sent the wrong box of dog treats, phoned them the next day spoke to a nice lady that sorted the mix up and the next day my dog treats where delivered.

After reviewing a number of dry dog foods Harrington's appeared to supply all my 12 month old puppy's needs but prices vary greatly. Petshop.co.uk had one of the most competitive prices especially if opting for bottomless bowl option and the range of dates given between deliveries has given me a chance to assess her needs as I wasn't sure how long 15kg would last....she's wolfing it down, so not long ! The delivery advice was between 3 and 5 days, it was here in 2! Which was a bonus. Communication from the company is excellent, I especially appreciate the one about how to manage the bottomless bowl option. Fingers crossed Elsie keeps on enjoying her food

I usually order my cat's litter from Amazon but they were out of stock. I don't usually shop with retailers I hadn't previously heard of, but I am SO GLAD that I did! Not only were Petshop.co.uk VERY reasonably priced (cheaper than usual!) but they had great delivery options too. If I buy just one more bag of litter than I usually do, I'm actually making a saving, so I'll be coming back here again whenever I need to stock up. petshop.co.uk are a really reliable, high quality and fair-priced site where you can buy as little or as much of your regular pet supplies as you wish. I buy my speciality dogfood in bulk for a great price and get it delivered to my door within a couple of days. I also buy my Basset Hound's joint supplements and I often look through all the offers and add things that she needs, or even just things I'd like her to try.I tried several suppliers before I settled on Petshop; they have top quality products, fantastic customer service and they never let me down.I am now a lifelong customer and would not go anywhere else. The prices are very competitive which is great when I have big dogs who eat a lot. Petshop's bottomless bowl regular order is a godsend for me. As an 81 year old, buying dog food from a supermarket is not an option. My order comes every 4 weeks and they remind me automatically when the order is due. Recently when one order went missing petshop quickly sent a replacement so that my two labs didn't go hungry! Once I found this company for my dog mixer biscuits I have never looked back. They started up with the Princes Trust and recycle everything they can my 15kg paper bag (I absolutely love because it doesn’t sweat) it might arrive in a box they’ve recycled or a plastic bag etc. the quality of the mixer biscuits is 💯 % and being on petbowl is wonderful you don’t need to order it you get an email saying your petbowl order is due in 5 days if you want it don’t do anything if you want to change it give them a call they are so polite and helpful. After 5 days the money comes out of your account and your order arrives within 3 days. If you have health issues like myself they make sure it’s by your door. My dogs 🐶 🐶 love it so does my daughters dog 🐶. I get my wild bird food from them also as it’s wheat free so my dogs🐶🐶 and birds are really happy. I hope you give them a try you will never look back. I ordered 12kg of dry food and two multi- packs of wet dog food. They arrived smashed and absolutely stank. I literally had to wash down the 12kg bag. I have emailed Pet Shop even had the founder Adam email me back and three other members of his team they all reply then leave you hanging and do absolutely nothing, no offer of a refund or replacement. I said to them I didn’t want to leave a negative review but eight days is long enough. If they can keep replying four times that they’re busy they can reply with a remedy.Update 24/7They have just emailed me apologising for the delay in getting back to me. They are sending me a replacement order Wednesday and a new storage bin to put my dry dog food in!Update 25/7They replaced all my order it arrived the next day well packaged!

I order from Petshop for my dog (Spitz) and my cat (Persian) and I love that there is so much choice for both! They have a mix of dry and wet food, so it's great to order from the same place. DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY!!!! I have been using this company for a while and have had endless issues! Bottomless bowl should be simple however I've had orders not arrive for weeks on end- then I had my entire order duplicated woke up to find they had taken five hundred pounds out of my account! Sometimes delivery is fast but most of the time you wait weeks - shockingly bad company!

Have only recently discovered this company (my first order was through e-bay) .Have placed further orders via their website as their products are competitively priced, every order I have received has arrived ahead of schedule and well packaged , I thought the little letter enclosed with the orders was a great idea giving a personal touch. My order came on time and was well packed in a recycled box (eggs!). I ordered two bags of cat food and each came with a free cat toy this time so Daisy had one and the other was given to a friend for Neemo.

Great little company that is very responsive to getting you the foods you need for your pets. They are clearly environmentally conscious and don't waste money on expensive packaging. I love that lots of my deliveries come in recycled boxes etc.

I have tried them once and will not order with them again. Prices are similar to other suppliers and the delivery was extremely slow, took in excess of 10 days (despite the 3-5 day estimate) from the time I ordered. I do not think it was the courier's fault as they seemed to be quite prompt once they received the order from the store. Further, there is no way of choosing a delivery date (much less a time slot). Had I known how long this would take, I would have ordered from someone else (Waitrose, for example). Customer service also took their time replying to my complaint about slow delivery and by the time they responded they essentially just told me "oh we see you received it now, hope all is ok". Quite unhelpful.

Brilliant service, I’ve subscribed to their bottomless bowl service as an ex-Amazon customer, (I’m not sure that’s allowed, but it’s the truth) anyway I was looking for a company that could fulfil my furbabies meal requirements. Their prices are very competitive and they deliver on time. They have everything I ask for and more available on their website, should I want anything else.

I have been a loyal customer to Petshop.com for 2 years now and started ordering from them for their competitive pricing, I had previously always been so happy with them and the service. I have recently raised an issue with them in regards to their new packaging. It’s RUBBISH! I’ve ordered a few times over the last few months as usual, and the products I paid for have started arriving in a plastic shrink wrap. The first month I thought maybe it was a one off thing? Well apparently not! This shrink wrap caused me concern as it is plastic(!) and does not say its recyclable anywhere (on the packing, on their website, not even my ordering slip) I only found out the packaging IS recyclable after emailing customer service and raising these concerns. Secondly, they no longer pad anything. I ordered cat litter, and cat food plus treats, the cat litter had actually torn slightly, and my cat food and treat boxes had been all smooshed together, I had to duct tape my cat litter back up and re shape all my boxes. It seems they now just take your money and run with it, wrap up whatever you’ve ordered in this rubbish plastic and send as is! Surely this will cause huge amount of loses to the company due to the packaging not being substantial enough? It’s repeated accidents awaiting to happen. Unless they stop using this plastic wrap which has a potential to destroy my items, I will not be shopping with them again.

So disappointed at this company after experiencing good service for some years now. Last delivery was a major problem after left on my doorstep which meant I could not get out of my door! This time I asked for the delivery to be put behind the back gate. I left the gate open & it was left obstructing the passage. These are 2 bags of 10kg rabbit food, wrapped together in plastic so unable to move them!What happened to reusing boxes? This is terrible for the environment & also rips the main bag when trying to separate them, so nuggets go all over the place! Emailed customer service & no reply at all. Very disappointed
