Collagen Bully Sticks: A Hit with Dogs

They seem like great quality. No dyes or overwhelming scent.

My dogs loved these chews BUT they didn't last long. All 3 were gone in about as many hours.

My dogs are obsessed with these collagen chews. They're long-lasting and seem to be a big hit with the fur-babies. But beware, they do leave a color mark wherever your dog decides to enjoy them. Keep an eye on your lighter-colored furniture, or you might find an unwelcome surprise. My small dogs haven't had any digestive issues from these, and they soften as they are chewed, so I'm not as worried about broken teeth as I am with bully sticks or antlers.

Nice crunchy treats, my dog is small - 10 pounds - so I broke them into smaller pieces, she really likes these!

My gsd/husky mix loves them!

I liked the length of the sticks and that it had no odor. I did not like that the stick does not soften as my dog chewed it. Instead, the stick cracked and my dog swallowed a shard of it and vomited shortly after.

They take a while for them to chew, which
is great! They’re easily digestible too.

I have 3 small dogs and they loved these! I might have purchased a bit too large, but my dogs love anything they can chew on for hours. These are very uniformly shaped and seemed to be fresh. I will definitely purchase these because my dogs loved them so much.

When this arrived the packaging was open and pieces were missing. The item wasn’t returnable but amazon did refund my money. I was going to reorder so I had my dog try it. She seemed to like it but there were shards of the stick everywhere, it looked like pieces of glass. That made me nervous so I threw the rest out.

When we first got these, each dog happily took one. While they were chewing, it literally was so loud that it sounded like their teeth were breaking. These did take them a little longer to chew up than our normal dog sticks. After the first one, they didn't really want another one of those until sometime later. Usually my dogs would eat an entire bag if you let them. The next day however, they took another and happily chewed them up. Now, I couldn't tell you if they offered up any health benefit or not with just a 5 pack. However, they are pretty pricy in my opinion for something that will be gone in 5 chews.

Winston here is a rescue and he has some peculiarities. Namely, he doesn’t like to chew on anything. Even tried the famous frozen Kong, he just kicked it. To help keep his teeth healthy, be needs to chew on something.

These are great. The first couple bites are hard and crackly, but quickly become soft and stringy after a bit of chewing - almost like a dental floss. I let him chew on one for about 30 minutes before I take it away, but these last a long time!

Even though I got this package for free, I’ll definitely be buying more in the future. It’s Winston’s new favorite treat!

I like the 12" size collagen sticks. I have a 100lb lab that can down a stick in a few minutes and these make them last just a little longer. <10 minutes My boys get some sort of stick when I'm getting ready for work to keep them entertained and they go nuts for these.

My dog really loves these. I like that they are collagen and not raw hide. They don't seem to break into sharp pieces and are much safer to use.

My dog usually loves jack & pup products, but unfortunately she did not want these. I could tell she wanted to like them because she picked one up a few times, but she wouldn't get more than one chomp in before dropping it and walking away.

The texture is very rough and dry, and they have a slight vinegary scent. I'm thinking I may have received an old batch because they also came in different bag than what's pictured.

Value-wise, jack & pup has a great track record, and this isn't an exception. The chews are a long 12". If my dog had liked them, I'd be highly recommending them for the value.

My first concern with treats like this is always digestive issues: is my dog going to periodically wake up during the night, needing to go out? Fortunately, no such issues here. One of my dogs has a particularly sensitive stomach and even he had no problems with these bully sticks. I have two dogs and they're both around 50 lbs. Both dogs were able to chew through these in around 15 minutes. That's not terrible, but for only 15 minutes, it's a very expensive treat. Oh, and they do smell strongly of vinegar. Also, the bag was already open when I got these. My dogs like them and they don't cause digestive issues but the price is really, really high--especially when they only last about fifteen minutes.

First time with this type of treat and I love that they don't stink like bully sticks . They don't stain the floors and the dogs love them . A bit pricey but my doggies are worth it . Will be buying more . Two thumbs up .

I have an Australian Shepherd and and Akita and they both absolutely loved these chew sticks. I don't really like the smell of them but the girls do and that's all that matters. My only complaint and this isn't just this company and this is companies that make these sort of things in general. They always make them an odd number. This came with five sticks. I have two dogs so that means I have one stick. That's just kind of hanging out by itself but don't mind my rant. This is a great product and I highly recommend it for your pup.

They last a good while and keep my dogs busy. They seem to really like them because when they see me coming towards them with the bag, they immediately sit...they know what's coming. No side effects or anything negative so far. Smell isn't too bad either. It's recommend these.

My old dog smelled these for a good minute and went into biting on them. She's an older dog, and hasn't had a hide chew in a while. If she liked these that quickly, then I'm happy.

My dogs were a bit confused with these at first. They look like long bully sticks, so my dogs were eager to try them since they love those. But then they smelled them and were reluctant to take them. Eventually one of my dogs took a stick and went to chew it, so the other two also took theirs. They all ate them, but I can't quite tell if they liked them or ate them because they knew it was something to eat. One handy thing about these is since they didn't obviously love the flavor as much as bully sticks, they lasted about twice as long. Nothing bad to say about these, other than perhaps the flavor of bully sticks is more to my dog's liking.

Our dogs go through them quick, but they are the preferred treat.

My dog loves them! These are perfect for dogs that like hard chew treats. They are impossible to break into smaller bits so I take them away from her so she doesn't eat them in one sitting. The color comes off of the fur around her mouth, so use with caution in areas where you worry about stains. These have little to no smell compared to things like pig ears. Very entertaining and enjoyable for my pup!

These are just not my dogs taste I suppose. They smell kind of yucky to me.

These are long sticks, I tried to break one in half and couldn't. I gave them to all 4 shepherds to keep them busy while we were gone for a few hours. When we arrived home I found a few of them half chewed. As I'm writing this one of them is finishing one off. These are tough and long lasting, just what we want. The smell isn't that strong, no digestive or other issues.

They smell a bit like your typical stinky dog chews, not quite as pungent though. The sticks are approximately a foot long each which was way too much for a 20 pound dog. I quartered one of the sticks with a sharp serrated and fairly large kitchen knife, these things are tough. One of the aggressive chewers finished a 1/4 stick off in around an hour or so which is a pretty good length of time to keep her busy. She then managed to steal the barely chewed one from the other dog and finished it off in about the same amount of time. Overall a good longer lasting treat that the dogs enjoyed.

First these collagen sticks don’t match the description. They came in a lightweight plastic bag and not the heavy duty one in the picture that’s typical of this brand. I don’t really care about packaging, but don’t expect it to be nice.

Second, the pictures show nice brown sumptuous looking collagen sticks. What I received were black and dry and brittle.

My dog did enjoy them. 1 stick took him 25 minutes to get through. He’s medium sized and a medium chewed.

I’ve purchased collagen sticks from a competitor for a similar price and size that last hours. Paying almost $4 a piece for something that lasts less than half an hour is a bit disappointing.

I will not be buying these in the future.

 These sticks are pretty decent and have a low odor. My 5 heavy chewers just loved them and, coincidentally, this comes in 5 pack, so it was perfect for me. I would order again.

Dog likes them! On arrival there was zero smell or odor. After my dog was chewing on it for approximately 2-3 minutes, it definitely smells of vinegar, it’s not horrible but it’s definitely present. No staining even though it looks like it will. One treat kept my dog busy for approximately 8 hrs! Overall would definitely recommend!

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive about giving these to my dogs. However, both of my dogs did great with these and they really enjoyed them. There's only one ingredient: beef collagen. I think these are great treats for big dogs.

What was sent was different than the pictures. They are good for bigger dogs, my chihuahuas could not eat them with their little teeth/mouths. Now my big, 97 pound dog loves loves loves them!! They have no bad order which I like.

These were soo much bigger than I had anticipated! I was worried my dogs wouldn't enjoy them because they were so large. I was wrong!! They both loved them.. I have chihuahuas and as you can see by the pic, the treat is longer than my pup. He does not mind, they have chewed on these non-stop since I opened them last night. There is no foul odor and they are incredibly durable (we know this because my husband tried to break one in half and failed, bruising his ego lol). They are a hit with my picky dogs!

These sticks are long and thin like a pencil. My dog is an aggressive chewer with strong jaws. He is able to polish one of these off in less than 15 minutes.
These bully alternative sticks do not have the unpleasant odor sometimes attributed to bully sticks.
I have purchased other items form Jack and Pup, all of which my dog has enjoyed.
I recommend this and any other Jack and Pup product you thing your dog might enjoy.

These collagen sticks are DANGEROUS! Do NOT purchase!
When one of our dogs was chewing one of these sticks, it shattered into small glass-like shards and he began choking. Thankfully, we were able to clear his throat. We are hoping there is no internal damage from the glass-like shards. This product is DANGEROUS!

All bully sticks are expensive and these are no exception. However, my dogs really enjoy them and they have very little scent to them. I’ve tried other brands, and they were very stinky. I would not recommend them for teething, however. Since they are so hard, they could damage little puppy teeth.

Love this bully bone. Long lasting. My dog hordes it. Takes a few hours before she finishes it.

These are such great Bully sticks for my 4 month old Husky pup. It last such a long time and he loves them! It’s nice to have something for him to chew that doesn’t just fill his belly right away. I will definitely be buying more of these!

I've purchased the "jumbo" and "thick" sizes. This is my third order. Although the second order got lost (refunded), I really liked the thickness. They are a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it as an extra special treat once a week or so.
The jumbo size is my favorite. The 6" jumbo size lasts about an hour (or longer) for a 70+ pound pitty.

I buy at least 2 bags a month. My two 70pound golden doodles adore them and love getting them before I leave for work or when I want to keep them entertained. We started using them when they were teething puppies to keep them occupied, and they still love them just as much now. They chew/eat these all the time and have never had any digestive or other issues with them. These are our favorite treats because they are totally natural, last awhile so the dogs stay entertained, and the dogs LOVE them.

 Most long lasting bone i've found for my corgi!! My older picky dog wouldn't touch it lol the scent is not as bad as the reviews say. It's a little pricey for only 3 but i would recommend

I ordered non odor and in my pack of 3 one was def not odor free and caused my pup to throw up! I tossed all the ones I had after reading they can cause dogs to get sick if bacteria forms or not cooked long enough! Very disappointed they’re expensive!

This occupied Teddy's time just as I hoped! My goal is to associate it with having alone time at home. Crossing my fingers!

Great product particularly for aggressive chewers. They really last. Dogs love them. If you are worried about your dog getting into mischief while you are out, these will keep them busy.

Our Basenji puppy loves his Bully Sticks! We get him the large 6 inch ones and one tends to last him about 30 minutes. He’s a heavy chewer, when he has something that he can do that with. He even does a few happy spins when he gets one! 🙂 Great dog treat!

Bought these as a supposedly longer lasting alternative to bully sticks. The dogs had these consumed in record time - less than ten minutes. Definitely not worth the cost and the bully sticks actually last MUCH longer.

My pup tears through “long lasting chews” but not these. He gets at least a week of chewing out of one stick. The smell isn’t great but it’s not unbearable like other brands we’ve tried.

My puppy loves these. She will chew for hours and they are long lasting.

Our dog loves bull pizzle.. he really enjoys having a good dog chew. And these really held up with out dog. The standard thin pizzle would only last about 10 15 minutes but these would last about an hour.. the only down side. Is you really need to keep an eye on your dog while they are chewing it. Our dog got down to the end and managed to pull it out of his bully holder and swallowed it whole. It caused him some discomfort while he waited to pass it.

The smell is not good but it’s not much worse than other ones.

My 8 month old German Shepard absolutely LOVED these! They're amazing for teething especially for puppies, heck even my 13 year old shih tzu loved them. 😂 While I will say the scent is not exactly plesent it can definitely be worse. I smells almost like a vegan beef jerky (???) that's the best way I can describe the scent. Now based off what kind of chewer you pup or dog is, should determine what size pack, width, and length you want to get. My little Moni is a very aggressive chewer and the 4 count 6 inch sticks lasted about a week or two. She went through them very fast and broke them down easily, but again that's because she's a aggressive chewer. But overall I 100% recommend as they are great for dogs (especially if you need to sneak some catnip to them before bed 😅) plus they help clean their teeth a bit and keep their breath... mmmm... tolerable. :)

The chews last forever unlike others I've tried. My ACD Blue Heeler loved the cheese and kept him occupied for hours.

Love these! The price is amazing for this type of product too! (Sadly, my beast of a dog is getting too large for them… but great for medium sized dogs!) they last a good amount of time and are great for your dogs digestive system.

My heavy chewer loves these. No scent, very little mess with no stains. Keeps home busy for a long time. Usually gets tired and leaves it for another time. Will definitely reorder.

It was Very soft last five minutes

I was hoping that this would be longer lasting. My 7 month old puppy likes to chew. First of all, these smell terrible, secondly it only lasted 15 minutes. My puppy swallowed at least a quarter of it whole. Found it undigested in his poop the next day. So the bully sticks were not really what I was hoping for.

Misleading description!! NOT A USDA product. From Brazil!!! And you can’t return it.

My 3yr old cane corso loves these. I prefer getting him the jumbo sticks because his mouth is very large and also to avoid choking! They aren’t odor free, but the odor is manageable; just don’t sit near your pup when they are enjoying the treat! Overall great product and will be buying again.

These smell terrible but the dog attacked it like it was candy, in spite of the smell. Unfortunately, the whole thing came back up about 30 minutes later. After spending 45 minutes trying to get it out of the carpet, I tossed the rest of them in the trash.
