Tractive GPS Tracker is an excellent product that provides peace of mind for dog owners. It has a well-designed app, low power mode, and accurate GPS tracking. The battery life is impressive, and the device is easy to use and fit onto a dog's collar. Tractive offers great customer service and support. Overall, it is a highly recommended tracking device for pets.

I love this little device. I've not yet let my new rescue dog off lead, but I know Tractive will give me lots of peace of mind when I do!
The "wellness" features are a real bonus, and I'm already getting a good idea of Sachi's baseline for sleep levels when she's healthy. This means that if I notice a sudden spike in sleep interruptions, I'll be watchful of whether she's unwell or in pain.
The battery lasts days between charging, and once back at home, uses barely any battery at all in Wi-fi range. For me, the cost of the annual plan is very reasonable, considering how much I might spend on a takeaway coffee a couple of times a week.
Highly recommend Tractive ❤️
It works, but the battery life is shocking. I charge the tracker and I need to charge it again after 48 hours. It is good for tracking, I'll say that.
I have a working cocker spaniel who ranges quite a long way. Recall is fairly good but when she chases something likeca bird tgen she loses focus but will come back
I decided to purchase the Tractive after speaking with friends. I can now track my dog wherever she goes & thank goodness for it as she got herself lost recently & couldn't find her track back to me. I was able to locate my furry friend thanks to the Tractive, it gives me peace of mind to know I can see where she is & wouldn't be without it now.
Tried a few trackers before settling on this one. Was originally put off by the monthly cost but this is the far superior product so have had to swallow that. I really like the clip on charger which makes it easy to charge. The best part about this tracker is the app, which is brilliant. It’s designed well and I find it very easy to use, especially when needing to find your dog quickly! I like that it has a low power mode when it detects your home WiFi network, I have only had to charge it once in a few weeks so far (although I do only use it when the dog is on a walk and not constantly - but I don’t need to switch it off between walks). I fully recommend this to anyone with a dog who has a tendency to disappear now and again!
Gives me a bit of peace of mind when I let my young Labrador off the lead
I was initially caught up in the gamification of the app but actual there was some real helpful data that helped with learning about my dog.
It was really helpful to work out what range of activity our dog needed. Too little and he would chew up his toys, too much and he was cranky from being over tired. It was helpful based on his mood to work out his best routine.
I could also see when the last time the dog had been out and remotely check on the dog when we were on holiday.
The noise that you can use to find a lost collar I have also used to train our dog to come back for treats. If he chases a deer or gets spooked I can break his focus by setting the collar off and he'll start looking around for me.
Great item and great tracking
We have used these trackers for years now and have always found them to be reliable and effective. The updates over the years have been excellent prolonging battery life and the introduction of the 'Power Saving Mode' means we can leave them on constantly with a lot less charging, normally only every 3 - 6 days depending on how much we have used the 'Live' mode. Highly recommended.
We were recommended this product by other dog owners and have been using it for 6/12. So far it has been easy to use and done exactly what it says it does.
First class real time tracking, great tracker , piece of mind , monthly subscription or yearly which is cheaper.
I’ve had this for a few months now, and it has spent most of its time saying ‘waiting for network’, ‘waiting for connection’, or ‘connection is too weak’. If I’m out of a 4g area, it stops working. If I’m in tree cover, or even heavy cloud cover, it stops working. I know I’ve set it up properly as I did a trial walk around the block. Now, the box/advertising does clearly say it needs 4g, but even when I can see I’ve got 4g, it still struggles to connect. The other day I went for a walk and the dog disappeared. I was in a 3G area but I could see a small hill and thought ‘if I can just bound dynamically up there I might get a smidge of 4g and see where she is, if the wretched thing will connect.’ I was lucky and it did find a patch of 4g and for once it did connect (only for a minute or so). But it was long enough for the dogs icon to come up, which was reassuring. But that’s when I realised the other massive shortfall of this tracker…the icon that represents you, the poor desperate human worrying about their dog, does NOT have a direction cone on it (the lines that splay out showing you which way you are facing, like on google maps). So although I could see my dogs position, I couldn’t see whether she was behind me, in front, to the left, to the right, anything. I would have had to start walking in a direction to see whether my icon got closer to the dogs icon. WHY would you not give the icon a direction cone, on a contraption who’s one and only job is to help you find your dog?
UPDATE: FROM BAD TO WORSE
This has not connected for over a month now, even though my phone is showing I have 4g. It is literally useless. It shows the dog is still at home whilst in fact she’s on a walk with me. I’ve paid £120 subs at a time when, like everyone else, I have very little money. I’m just getting angrier and angrier. Customer service say they’re very busy and will get back to me. To say I’m unimpressed would be a monumental understatement.
The battery life is pretty good. It is excellent at live tracking your dog if it runs off. My spaniel got spooked by a large dog and ran off. I checked the app and I could see that he had ran home (about 2 miles away). The activity tracker is poor. It tracks the active minutes of your dog rather than showing how many miles your dog has travelled. This was one of the main reasons I purchased this, so was very disappointed. Especially, when you have to subscribe. You can get free apps like Strava to track your personal runs and walks, so why couldn’t this feature have been included in a ‘premium’ subscription-only product?
it does exactly what it’s supposed to - took a while to come but worth the wait.Like the ability to set a geofence and the activity tracking 😄👍👍
I think it’s brilliant. When not in use a can’t switch it off.
While I was downloading the item the icon appeared on the phone and then disappeared now I have problems trying to get it to work again
Had to buy a new one cos we couldn't find the charger and despite it only being purchased 8 months ago, a new version is out and you can't get the old style charger. However, thank goodness I didn't take the risk and I bought a whole new one. The next weekend the little rascal Lurcher escaped whilst camping. She had a whale of a time running through open fields and searching hedgerows. I kept track of her, heart in mouth for over 90 minutes. No chance of catching the little beggar. She idled back over within 10 feet of us. Was interested in the slices of ham we were waving about.... then she was off again. Eventually we tracked her to an area we could potentially get to by car. Started the engine and only drove about 100 yards.... little beggar came running back to the tent, where my brother managed to catch her. Lessons learned: sliced ham does not work at 10 feet; the tracker works perfectly (but it doesn't catch your dog obvs); dogs can escape through gaps you don't even see; should've started the car sooner! Never going camping again (not because we nearly lost the dog... I just hate camping 🤣)
Did consider giving it only 3 stars due to the charger issue, but decided not to.
Have had this tracker a few months and it is extremely accurate, has brought me to my dogs exact location on numerous occasions. Only problem is the battery life has dropped over time despite having an energy saving mode on, I now only get max 2 days between charges which is annoying. Considering the monthly subscription, I’d expect a better battery life.
getting out of contract is complex / difficult. unsubscribe is deeply hidden in web site.
Its not in companies interest to have an accessible unsubscribe button
Had a Tractive tracker for 6 years on our dog firstly incase he bolted as he was quite nervous . We’ve kept it because he’s scared of fireworks and thunder. If he bolted off we’d know where to find him. It gives us peace of mind.
Relies entirely on phone signal. That said, if the signal is lower than 3 bars the unit doesn’t work. Wouldn’t recommend, especially if you are planning walking/running in areas with poor signal.
There was nothing I disliked this product and I would highly recommend this to anyone who as a runner, or nervous dog
.I like it especially knowing that no matter where my dog is she will be track able by not only by my phone but also nominated people and the head office of company and they are on call 24hrs yes you have to pay a nominal fee but to know my dogs are safe is worth every penny and it works out less than a £1 a week for peace of mind
No other company offers this
I love this product. Gives me complete peace of mind when my precious pup is staying with my parents. She’s really nervous so can’t leave with anyone else. I can see where she is at all times, enabling me peace of mind.
I have had mine less than a year and the battery life has dropped to less than 24 hours I am very unhappy with the short life it has considered the price and the subscription fees. Do not buy
I absolutely love this product, its simple to use, and i know where my dog is all the time.
Not too big goes nice on my dog’s harness.
I bought this tracker for my young whippet who loves to disappear in the gorse bushes after rabbits. I had tried another tracker, but he moves so fast it could not keep up with him and never found a signal.
It does not help with his recall, but when I use the live tracking I can see where he is and whether he is on his way back. The gorse bushes are so dense he can be a few feet away from me and I can’t see him, but now I know he’s there!
Perfect item to have if ur dog has run off ,as it let's u track on ur phone via bluetooth exactly where they r
We have only used Tractive for less than 2 weeks but have found it to be a great product. It gives you great peace of mind and is full of helpful and fun features. Within first 2 days it alerted us regarding our puppy escaping from back garden thankfully due to the quick and accurate alert we got him back home in a few minutes. Would buy again and recommend highly.
Subscription says £5 per month then you have to commit for 5 years then pay up front so £300 upfront. Awful.
Very accurate and for me serves 2 purposes, yes it tracks my dog but also my stroke survivor husband, who can't communicate but enjoys walking the dog. Giving me peace of mind.
I had to buy this as part of dog rescue requirements. It's a pity the GPS subscription is so expensive.
I've been using the Tractive for about 18 months now. Recall seems to be a constant work in progress with my 4 year old spaniel x retriever! Having the tracker attached to his collar, whilst doing lots of long line training, has given me much more peace of mind. If he does run off, I'm much more confident I'll be able to keep track of him, and know which direction he's gone in. Dropped to a 4 star only because the tracker doesn't always get good reception under tree cover, even if there's good phone reception.
I also especially like being able to see his 24 hour history. It's been a great tool for monitoring where the dog walker takes him (or doesn't as the case may be!)
RECENT UPDATE - the tracker stopped working, was failing to connect to anything other than my phone's Bluetooth. I exchanged a series of messages with customer service who suggested some fixes. When they didn't work, they sent me a new tracker, free of charge, it arrived 2 days later and they'd transferred my account over to it, so as soon as it was charged I was good to go. No hassle!
I was suspicious when I saw PayPal as the first option to pay. To pay with a card is a nightmare. We bought 2 for our dogs, getting the first tracker on line was stressful, the second one a complete failure, even after accepting the same card a second time. It said it didn't go through, then asked for another, 4 hours of messing about. Customer services, what customer services? Big mistake to get involved, payment system is a mess. Llion
Read the information they provide, it's accurate. It doesn't come in a tin but if it did it would accurately describe it on the tin and I would remark thusly.
I like the live tracking but also the ability to turn it off remotely to save the battery. I set up no go areas near Railway and a deep pond, in addition to safe zone of her garden. But don’t expect it to ping you the second they leave or enter a zone. Unless you have live tracking on, it’s going to take a while to notify you (sometimes we are 80 metres from the house before we are notified (further if she is sprinting after a squirrel. There is a impressive amount of information collected by the tracker. It’s easy to use and charge. However, I have a small Cockapoo and although she copes well when walking (it’s very light), the thickness of the device is too much to sleep on. Very good battery life. After 4 days it’s only down to 65%. I charged it up, in case she goes missing and we need a few days to find her.
Gives peace of mind. When off lead and outside in garden my dog is an escape artist and if she leaves safe area I get an alert on phone
As I cannot charge the tractve I cannot take this any further. The time it takes me to try and explain what I need to
Exlpain what I need to get started, they don’t understand what I need. This surely cannot be just me and not many others who have experienced this problem. I will be surprised if this doesn’t end up back and forward forever.
Great to keep an eye on how much exercise/ sleep my puppy is receving.
I had a surprise when it arrived, it was a lot smaller and unobtrusive than appeared on the video and photos. Very easy to charge and attach. I have a 15 month old Sprocker who rips through undergrowth and streams and rivers and it’s surprisingly secure. I’ve had it ten days and it’s only down to 30%.. So pleased I bought this one and not it’s rival. I’d recommend it.
got one about 2 years ago for my dog that has a habit of running off after squirrels.
Works great though you may have to find some high ground to get reception. I've also left it in my pickup after dropping my dog at kennels as we were off on holiday. And had great fun tracking my truck as i had left it with my son!!
We were in the US at the time and it worked great with real time up dates lol.
Since then I've hid it on my Bike when touring Europe just in case it got stolen.
Battery life has dropped from about a week when new to 3,4 days,
The emergence light works well at night but have never been able to get siren to work.
Picture to show how big it is in reality on a 19kg, but very slim, dog. But he doesn’t seem to notice.
A few weeks ago I tripped and lost hold of the lead of my dog with almost zero recall (😞) and spent the next 15 minutes frantically calling to no avail, having no idea where he was, imagining the worst, until my neighbour called to say he was barking at the door!!! I hadn’t known whether to stay where I was where I lost him or go home or what! If I’d have had Tractive I’d have been able to see that he was heading home.
Now he wears it all the time!!!
Signed up for 5 years and peace of mind!
This is excellent. No complaints at all. EASY TO USE. battery lasts for ages too.
The software (Win 10 and Android) keeps reporting either "Connection too weak" or "GPS signal too week." This is up to Tractive to remedy, but they do nothing.
I live in Greater London, well served by Cellular Wireless Networks and GPS Satellite coverage. Tractive told me that cloud cover interferes with GPS, which is rubbish, and these problems occur on bright sunny days. They occur in big open fields, with no trees or buildings anywhere near. I use this to monitor my dog at daycare, where the staff report excellent mobile coverage. The app purports to show activity and calories burned. This too is complete RUBBISH. The device accuracy is so wide an area, that their information is made up. AVOID THIS EXPENSIVE RUBBISH. Maybe 5G will be better, but Tractive are LIARS.
Overall good tracker. Can sometimes show he’s got out over the road when he’s actually outside the front door (we have an enclosed front garden). Would recommend. Live tracker is very good but does drain the battery quickly
Extremely disappointed with this product
On two occasions it has let me down saying “weak signal” when out in the open, also “outside range” when dog only a few yards away.
Total waste of money
Worked OK for six months then won't connect to GPS so completely useless. Support is rubbish, just sending me endless requests to reset and run tests yet refuse to accept its broken despite all their tests telling them so. Paid for two years so being screwed over still.
Fantastic piece of kit!! Was expecting something similar to find my “X “ on iPhone but this is so much better. When Ralph is out with another member of the family if you go on live tracking you can actually tell when he chasing after a stick and jumping into the river - the level of detail in real time is brilliant and cost very reasonable too!
Like easy to use ant charge
Love it, a few weeks ago Flo chased after a rabbit and got herself lost in some long grass on a very windy day, unfortunately she couldn’t here me shouting/ whistling, after about 5mins I pressed the live track and could see her clearly tracking round in a big circle trying to work out which way to go, she was approximately 500 yards away in some dense woodland, I followed the screen until I was close enough to see and retrieve her safely.. ..potentially lifesaving equipment. First class product and a must have.
Excellent product works very well and the app is very well laid out cannot fault it atall
I have a Beagle. This thing means I can let her off the lead in the woods and not worry what will happen if she finds a deer or goes rogue. I track her for the duration of our walks and every time she darts off the path I can see where she goes, when she stops, if she’s coming back or if I need to change course to intercept her. I tried another tracker before this which had phone connection and gps issues and actually increased the anxiety because I couldn’t trust it. The Tractive is absolutely spot on, all the time. The peace of mind is well worth a couple of years subscription cost. Thank you!
I bought my first Tractive dog tracker three years ago on a 5 year subscription for my new rescue dog. I have used it regularly since, primarily when I take my dog running or walking on the fells.
I have found it intuitive to use with good functionality and battery life.
As I use it, primarily on the fells, and whilst I wouldn’t expect the App to show contour lines, for OS mapping, the OSM mode provides sufficient detail trying to pinpoint my dog when away from roads or man-made landmarks. I did try another brand of tracker briefly at the same time, but found it clunky with poor battery life so quickly discard it. So, as my second rescue dog is on its way I had no hesitation in purchasing a second Tractive dog tracker. Some people have complained about the subscription. Please be aware that something like an Apple air tag only works within Bluetooth range. You can basically see your dog. A SIM. subscription will work anywhere there is a mobile phone signal.
I did briefly have a technical issue (of my own causing) and contacted the help line. The issue was quickly and efficiently rectified.
I have no hesitation in recommending this product.
I’ve been using Tractive dog tracker for over 2 years. It gives me great peace of mind to be able to see where he is if he disappears from sight. The phone app shows me his location in seconds. My first tracker failed after 18 months constant use. I contacted customer support and they sent me a replacement within a week, free of charge. Excellent.
It gives peace of mind to be able to find the pets. Taking 3 dogs a walk in woods etc when they can suddenly give chase to a squirrel and be focused on that. It is great to be able to locate them.
Also for my cat in the event she wanders further afield - to be able to know she is around and moving is reassuring.
Excellent device, which is very reliable and accurate
Bought this because my Mum's dog got lost over a weekend and I didn't want to ever have to go through that with my own dog. Did some research and this came up as the best for accuracy etc even in rural areas (for example AirTags only work within 200ft of an iPhone). Bought it and it's great for tracking should I need to find him, but it's also like a little FitBit for dogs! Good size, not too cumbersome even though mine's still a pup and doesn't get in his way at all. The local leaderboard etc is a great bit of fun too. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tracker for their pup or I guess for cats too. Good battery life, have power saving set up in home WiFi and it's been 11 days since its first full charge and setup before I've charged it again. My Mum ordered one for the dog that ran off (we found him, thank goodness) and hers has lasted 6 days but they spend less time at home than my pup does.
I ordered two. The first was delayed so ordered again. I’ve written a review for the one kept.
I bought 2 units of dog trackers and returned one when it became faulty within the 30 day return period because it wouldn't charge. I am now being charged for the other unit I still have as its working and in my possession. I wanted a replacement but I'm not apparently covered by traction for a replacement. I would like to speak to them about this but they do not reply also Amazon are difficult to contact as I've had a refund .
I have contacted the company about a replacement but received no reply. I am still paying a subscription for a faulty unit.
Don't waste your money.
I hope like everyone to never have to really test the tracker my only concern is to how far my dog could stray and the tracker still pick her up if the worst was to happen. I have only had it a couple of weeks so still testing it all out really and getting to know how it works.
My dog is a cross yorkie jack russel. and although it has never bothered her on her collar sleeping or exercising i would prefer it to be a little smaller. familiarising my self with the history and wellness aspects on the app. it seems to be extremely accurate for locating her, and the virtual fence is brilliant i have it set very close to the house but as she is a fairly new rescue dog i have no problem with the alerts on my phone.
All in all i am very happy and would recomend it to anyone thinking of getting a tracker. It has given me the courage to let her loose in the garden which has enabled us to really work on her recall and have fun and it has been mutually rewarding as a result.
As our dear Badger aged, his sight began to fail, his hearing tricked him, and he became increasingly confused. Reactive gave us peace of mind so that we could allow him to roam, if only a bit. Alerting us whenever he wandered too far kept him from getting into situations that would scare him and cause him anxiety. I could not recommend this service highly enough.
Then, when Badger eventually passed away (at nearly 18!), the staff at Tractuve dealt with me with both compassion and fairness. Just a fantastic company.
It's small, lightweight and easy to fit to a dog collar. The great thing is that it tracks Athena's activity levels so I can make sure she's getting enough exercise.
Amazing tracker , would highly recommend
I am very happy with my Tractive tracker and impressed with the company's customer service.
As we live close to a deep valley there can be an issue with connectivity but given our very rural location this is understandable. When the tracker is connected it is invaluable in locating my pointer on the fairly rare occasions she goes walkabout.
seems to have good GPS coverage, which is where other products have failed me previously
I live in a rural part of Devon. Our dogs were constantly disappearing after deer in the woods. These trackers allow me to find them and track where they are. I had an issue, my fault, the company sorted the problem. If you have a wanderer or a chaser I’d recommend
A great tracker, it is perhaps a little bit chunky and heavy on such a small dog (she’s a six month old Havanese Poodle cross and 6kg) for full time wear but on her harness it’s fine for her walks. It has a great battery life too with the power saving feature enabled when home.
My rescue has no recall and this gives me peace of mind should the worst happen and she escaped on a walk. Priceless to have that security. Excellent and prompt Customer Service for technical issues
To track klaus when off lead, gives me peace of mind. Not to heavy with him being a small dog. The battery life I’d good, have been useing for 4days and still 70% charged. Good customer service, responds to questions very quick. Have reccommed this product
I didn’t realise how much confidence and freedom my tracker gave to us until the charging cable came apart and I was without my tracker. We often walk near disused mine shafts.
Your team resolved the issue and replaced the faulty cable within 2 working days.
I can’t thank you enough for the very quick response. Linda & Misha
Very important for knowing where your dog is at all times. GPS Not always accurate unless using on live tracker.
Pretty accurate piece of kit . Really does show exact position . By far it is better than the brand I tried and returned . Much more info and up to date tracking. Highly recommended.
Excellent product
Easy to set up, use and track your dog. Have escapee terriers and I know when they leave the permissive area set up.
I have used a tractive for over two years now! Recently purchased a second for my new puppy. Have had very few issues. But my first tracker did stop working and I needed a replacement. Customer service were so helpful and sent a new tracker out free of charge within 2 days!
I also needed a new charger as my puppy chews mine! I couldn’t find the one I needed and they sent me the link directly to the one I needed. So friendly and helpful woukd highly recommend them
I adopted a 2 yr old rescue (dog) a month ago and brought a Tractive straight away after seeing reviews. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT just for the peace of mind and also to track yur dogs well being long term.
Fantastic product with many useful features.
After loosing our little Jack Russell far to many times, we live in a very rural area and she wanders off over the fields! I’m so glad we purchased a Tracktive tracker & collar. The app is amazing, we can track her every move and see her in the dark. You can turn on the light and sound function on the actual tracker that’s attached to the collar from the app, if she’s escaped without us noticing! The collar also has a great light too, no chance we wouldn’t see her in that when it’s flashing!
Amazing value for money and a great app we can use over many platforms, worldwide!
Simple to use and set up.
Very pleased.
GPS signal is easy to catch, notifications are on time and activity tracking is a great bonus. Can highly recommend.
The first tractive I had didn't have a very long battery life but the new model does. (I have 2 dogs), so the naughtier one wears the new one
Our dog has been spooked and run off a couple of times so he now wears a tracker which has recently been replaced with the new Dog4 model. The original was fine but the new one has greatly increased battery life enhanced by the new feature of shutting off the GPS when the device detects a WiFi “safe zone” which you can set. A slight issue is the time taken to respond to this either going out or coming back inside. The tracking is accurate enough to locate a missing pet and the history feature is interesting to review.
We absolutely love our Tractive trackers, they give me so much peace of mind when walking my 2 naughty squirrel chasers. The battery life is brilliant and they fit perfectly onto my 2 small Cavapoos harnesses meaning they don’t even notice they are wearing them. I love that it maps our walks too. An absolute essential for us and I couldn’t be without them. Thank you Tractive.
I’ve had a number of different trackers over years. (E.g. pod tracker,Kippy) and Tractive is by far the best. Coverage and accuracy are great and it stands up to bog wallowing by our Golden Retriever!
Difficult to find how to access audible feature.
But good for tracking down where my dog is on my smallholding.
Battery life is better than expected.
Collar attachments seem a bit flimsy & relatively expensive to replace for what they are.
I cannot comment on the products usefulness as it was returned unused.
The subscription is a joke, for £7 per month if you pay 12 months in advance but its only £4 per month if you pay FIVE YEARS IN ADVANCE, 3 years more than the guarantee of the product.
Showed my pet in places she'd never been, she was sat on my knee!! Went away for a weekend but it couldn't connect at all so pretty useless all weekend! Returned for refund though with no problem
My dog. Been a lurcher he loves a run. If a rabbit or a fox pop up, he's gone, it's in them. It has helped me many times. Love it.
Charge lasts about 4 days
The lead on the charger is very short and therefore makes is hard to place by a plug. Its also not a brilliant fit to the plug as it does not go in very far
Absolutely fabulous, gives peace of mind
Easy to set up and battery lasts for ages. Very impressed and would def recommend
While the Tractive was on my lap whilst sitting in my lounge it showed ‘Sheera’ wandering in the woods. So inaccurate. Very expensive to buy and track so disappointing.
I got this item to keep my dog safe, but I was NEVER told that I’d have to pay monthly to activate it. Plus it may get damaged if in water so if my dog ran in water it might be damaged. It’s ridiculous having to pay monthly for an item I paid fully for, and just to keep the item active!! I shouldn’t have to pay monthly but I also should have been explained to about it!!!!
Used as a tracker for my dog. He has a habit of running great distances on the beach. In summer when holiday makers are on the beach sometimes difficult to see him. Now it is a lot less worrying.
Great value for having piece of mind when pooch is out on a walk. Nice to look back on the walks in the history section. Also lots of different options in the app to play around with. Customer service is also really good.
It works brilliantly! I love that I can now have peace of mind that I’ll never lose my dog. I can take him for long walks and if he runs off, I can easily open the app and check where he is. If he’s too far away we can turn back or wait and keep whistling til he reappears. He’s a medium Labrador and doesn’t notice he’s wearing it. Definitely worth every penny.
I bought this as it was supposed to be the best but I wasn’t able to open an account. The help was just a virtual assistant, no live support. It was the most frustrating website I’ve ever used. Having to return it
The product itself is very good, however the subscripton pricing needs to be clearer, you can get it for £4.50 a month but only if you pre-pay for a number of years, if you want to pay monthly like most people, it's actually £12 a month for the most basic subscription
I've been toying with getting one of these for quite a while since getting my puppy although she's very well behaved and not yet wandered off too far.
On our first walk using it I used a pedometer on my phone.
I covered 1.7 miles and she covered 3 miles and that was without meeting a couple of dogs she plays well with.
I use a rolled leather collar so I've attached it to her harness but also used a cable tie as double security.
The live feature is nice and it tracked her quite well when she ran back to me with her ball.
I've also taken the option of a replacement if the tracker gets lost or if it was was stolen.
So day 1 it's been very impressive, I'll update my review after some further use.
Update 28/2/23 I had a problem with the device getting stuck in a boot loop after doing an update and getting it to turn off was a pain.
I emailed Tractive support and they got back to me with the fix in less than 24 hours.
Excellent support service.
Update 13/03/23
The problem rose it's head again at the weekend and I was unable to turn the tracker off.
I emailed their support on Sunday and received a response by 11am on Monday.
They have now disabled the audio and it's now working correctly again.
I don't use the audio so not fussed about it.
Again excellent customer support, I really can't fault how quickly they reply.
Excellent tracking device. Easy to fit, the dog doesn't notice it. Even works after an unexpected dip in the pond!
Great being able to set a daily target, and seeing their progress alongside other users dogs.
Wouldn't be without it now.
We lost our miniature dachsund underground. We went to the last place that the tracker had signal ( after several hours of our dog missing) . No sign of the dog but we heard him barking underground where he was stuck. We dug him out . The tracker saved his life. Thank you so much. My family wanted you to know. He would have died without your tracker. We are so grateful . :)
I've been using this product for the past 2 years, great battery life and very good tracking. My dog lives free in the wild and comes home once every month to pick up his post. Its great to know I can see where he goes and what he gets up to.
